☝️ Key decision making factors:
✋ Texture:
I’ve tried many face creams, and I’ve learned that texture matters. I want my skin to feel extremely hydrated, but I don’t like waking up in the morning to a thick layer sitting on top of my face from the night before. this cream is thick and it’s great for overnight when I wake up in the morning my skin feels good and I don’t notice a thick layer of product.
👃 Smell:
Fragrance bothers me. I specifically seek out products that do not have fragrance because it often makes me feel sick.
This product does have fragrance but it’s very light and I only noticed it because I stuck my nose in the jar to see if I could smell anything. When I apply it to my face, I don’t notice any scent.
✨ Affects:
Ultimately how effective the cream is, will determine if I’m going to buy it again and again. This cream makes my skin feel really nice. It does leave a slight layer on top of the skin but it’s extremely light.
Pros:
✅Feels really nourishing on the skin
✅Skin feels hydrated
✅Phthalate free
✅Not sticky, absorbs well, and doesn’t pill
Cons:
❌Not a super clean ingredient list (fragrance, artificial color, silicone)
❌Not oil free
❌Not vegan
Why trust me?
I have tried dozens of skin moisturizers from drugstore creams to Sephora brands. I’ve been on a journey to find the holy grail moisturizer. I still haven’t found it, but I’m having fun trying! I’ve discovered a lot of great products & learned so much along the way.
I keep up with what dermatologists are talking about / recommending, as well as trending skincare products from widely known trusted companies. I’m not one to fall for the hype or stay loyal to a brand just because it’s popular. I’m looking for good clean skin care that really works!

🤔Conclusion:
After using this for almost a week, I can say it feels really nice, and I love wearing it especially at night. I have also experimented with wearing this during the day although it does feel a bit thick.
Overall, I love the experience of wearing this however, after doing a little research into the ingredients I’m slightly disappointed. Tatcha is a very well established brand, and I don’t understand why they have to add fragrance and coloring to their formulas to make it seem more luxurious.
It makes it feel like a bit of a gimmick because the star ingredient is Japanese purple rice so they dyed their product purple. I understand the marketing aspect but to me this lacks product integrity and would prefer something more clean. I’ll still use every last drop of this product. Don’t get me wrong! But for me, the search goes on to find that holy grail perfect moisturizer. Hopefully some thing that feels quite a bit like this but with less
unnecessary ingredients.
