In this video, I’m doing an unboxing for the Pur x Barbie collection. I’ve actually had this collection since it’s release in August 2019 for the celebration of Barbie’s 60th anniversary but have been afraid to unbox it because it feels too nostalgic to open. As you can tell from the packaging, this collection is absolutely stunning. I decided that instead of letting this beauty collect dust, I’m going to see if the inside is as beautiful as the outside. Let's get our sparkle on!
PUR X BARBIE™ Iconic Lips Signature Semi-Matte Lipstick in Legendary & Classic
I’m starting off with these Iconic Semi-Matte Lipsticks. Yall, the packaging for these lipsticks is ICONIC. From the sparkle of the tube to the press and release button, everything about this lipstick just screams Come on Barbie, Let’s go Party! I am obsessed! The inside of these lipsticks is JUST as gorgeous. I have the shade Classic which is a nude color and Legendary which is literally the shade of pink you think of when you hear the word Barbie. I will say I hesitated to swatch these because of how incredibly beautiful they are. The lipsticks swatched very smoothly and deposited a good amount of color with one stroke. The sparkle is noticeable but not overbearing and the shades look great on my skin! 8 year old me is LIVING for these lipsticks!
PUR X BARBIE™ Glitterally Pink Signature Brightening Peel Off Mask
Moving on to the Gliterally Pink Signature Peel Off Mask. I love that Pur was able to incorporate a skincare product for this collection. This mask has ginseng, green tea, Vitamin B, Centella, and Licorice extract to help brighten and rejuvenate your skin. I have other product favorites with these types of ingredients so I do have high hopes for this mask. Nothing screams “Spa Night” like a glass of wine and this hot pink face mask!
PÜR X Barbie Dream Glow Signature Highlighter Palette
Next up is the Dream Glow Highlighter Palette. Once again, I am so impressed with this packaging. This highlighter comes with the added bonus of being a cute compact mirror which I love! The highlighter itself comes in three shades for a variety of skin tones and color combinations. Every shade in this highlighter was incredibly pigmented and smooth, I feel like it could even double as an eyeshadow. I loved the way the swatches complimented my skin tone and can’t wait to see how they look on my face! Pur nails it again!
PUR X BARBIE™ Endless Possibilities Signature Pressed Pigments Palette
Lastly, we have The Endless Possibilities Pressed Pigment Palette. This palette comes with 12 shades of Pur Glamour! We have bold colors, lots of shimmer, and even a dark shade for when you’re feeling a little edgy. I went ahead and swatched the shades that caught my eye and let me tell you, these babies are PIGMENTED. I did see a bit of fallout so I would recommend starting with your eye makeup when using this palette so you can wipe away the excess before applying your foundation! The swatches I showed in the video from top to bottom are: Accessory, Fashionista, Barbie, and Ken. Although these are matte, they still have a lot of dimension because of the glitter and shimmer pressed in the shades. I’m looking forward to swatching the rest of the shades and creating an iconic Barbie look using this palette!
Overall, I’m very impressed and very happy with this collection. From the incredible quality and attention to detail in the packaging and product, the fun shade range, and nostalgia factor, I feel that Pur really did this Barbie collection justice. I also love that this collection is cruelty-free, vegan friendly, and fragrance-free!
