I’ve had so much fun researching and learning more about blush this month, trying new looks and getting more out of one of my favorite products! So I wanted to share with you some of what I have learned about blush and the different types available. :3-24-smilingFaceWithHearts:
Now I have and use all three types but some are better for different skin types. It does depend on how you wear it, how often, and how you remove it. I found it super interesting so I hope you do too! :2-14-winkingFace:
Powder Blush
:10-75-blush:Brand used: Pixi by Petra
~[Pixi by Petra +Rose Glow-y Powder](2139259138513930)
🙋🏻♀️Best skin type to use on: oily skin because it can disguise some of the oily shine that occurs naturally with this skin type. However, beware of clogging your pores with too much product.
:13-101-makeupSponge:Application: Brush is best to apply
❤️What is good about powder blush? This is a traditional blush that is easy to work with and to create a natural matte finish for your cheeks. It is one of the longest lasting blush and it can be buildable to create your favorite look.
💔What is not so great about it? It usually requires a brush to apply properly and is generally not the best for anyone struggling with acne. It can clog the pores unless removed with a good cleanser.
Cream blush
:10-75-blush:Brand used: MILK Makeup
~[Lip + Cheek Cream Blush Stick](2113402403880963)
🙋🏻♀️Best skin type to use on: dry skin because it often has moisturizing properties.
:13-101-makeupSponge:Application: fingers, sponge or a brush work great!
❤️What’s good about cream blush? This is a super easy blush to apply, especially if it’s in stick form like mine. I also love that it can provide an extra boost of moisture with your makeup!
💔What’s not so great about it? It isn’t as long lasting as other blushes, generally only lasting 5-6 hours versus all day. It’s also not the best for oily skin as it can cause a greasy look.
Liquid blush
:10-75-blush:Brand used: Glow Studio
~[Glow Studio 2-in-1 Lip & Cheek Tint | Express](2139259138595840)
🙋🏻♀️Best skin type to use on: all skin types!
:13-101-makeupSponge:Application: usually comes with a stick applicator or you can squeeze directly onto your face or a tool. Then apply with a tool or your fingers!
❤️What’s good about cream blush? This blush is easy to build to get your desired look and is generally long lasting. It also is very easy to apply with any tool or just your fingers.
💔What’s not so great about it? It can clog your pores if layered to much so be careful if you tend to struggle with breakout-prone skin!
I found this so interesting especially since I didn’t know that different types of blush can help or hurt depending on your skin type! My favorite is definitely cream blush.
Which blush type is your go to? Did you learn anything new from this post? Hopefully you find this helpful and I can’t wait to read your feedback!
