Feeling Down in Quarantine? Time for a Self Care Routine!

Hey everyone! It’s been a rough time lately, so I thought it would be nice to show myself some care with a skincare routine :)
Products Used:
- GLAMGLOW BUBBLESHEET Oxygenating Deep Cleanse Mask
I’m warning you now, this product gets veryy messy. The foam felt really nice on my face and didn’t make me feel itchy. Although I think it might’ve been a bit rough on my sensitive skin, so, fellow sensitive skin folks, watch out for this one.
- Rohto Mentholatum - Hada Labo Gokujyun Hyaluronic Acid Lotion 400ml
I use this on the DAILY and I always rave about in almost every skincare post I make haha.
- Oh K! Chok Chok Glowing Moisturiser
I was grateful enough to receive this from PrismPop a while back, and it’s been such a great addition to my routine. It helps to brighten and moisturize my skin, and I definitely see a difference in my skin.
heimish - Bulgarian Rose Water Hydrogel Eye Patch
Although this product is pretty slippery and tricky to get on, I love how nice it feels while on and helps to hydrate the skin under my eyes. Also, the shimmery patch is just such a cute product!
I encourage you all to take some time for yourself, even if it’s just for a couple minutes! Everyone needs time to show themselves some love, and I love making my form of self-care into a skincare routine so I can recharge AND boost my skin at the same time.
What products or methods would you use in a self-care skincare routine? Let me know in the comments down below!

All products from the latest PrismPop Tester Bag with Oh K! beauty!

Hello, beauties!
This bag of goodies just arrived ๐Ÿฅฐ
Itโ€™s my Oh K! Beauty PrismPop Tester Bag, including 4 face masks and a full-size moisturizer, all K-Beauty! ๐Ÿ™Œ
Iโ€™m so excited to share my first impressions with you ๐Ÿ˜„ thereโ€™s a lot to unpack so letโ€™s get to it!
Hereโ€™s the breakdownโ€ฆ
Chok Chok Moisturizer (Slides 2 and 3)
Starting off with the only swatchable product โ˜บ๏ธ the Chok Chok Glowing Moisturizer. โœจ
I had to appreciate the packaging on this product - itโ€™s got a very shiny, holographic look from the outside.
You can also tell that Oh K! really cares about the experience of the person using their products, because the packaging is cleverly covered in cute little phrases that seem to show up right where youโ€™d want to see them.
I think the flat pale pink of the inner packaging feels much more subtle than the outside, but the graphics are just as presh.
I love the large print with the pictures showing itโ€™s Sulfate-Free, Gluten-Free and suitable for Vegans. Plus that little panda with the โ€œNot Tested On Animalsโ€ signโ€ฆ. my heart!! ๐Ÿ’“
I also gave it a quick swatch to see how it performs - hereโ€™s my first impression!
The white cream goes on soft and smooth and has a pleasantly light, slightly sweet fragrance to it. Iโ€™m sensitive to fragrances only in the sense that I canโ€™t focus during the day if some fancy foreign smell is wafting in and out - the distraction drives me crazy. This particular scent so far doesnโ€™t offend me! ๐Ÿ‘
While the scent of the moisturizer doesnโ€™t feel โ€œheavy,โ€ and the cream itself is quite light too, I wouldnโ€™t call the results lightweight. This performs more like a rich heavy cream than this bouncy light one. You can tell from the comparison between hands - this cream is seriously moisturizing.
I have combo/oily skin so I usually have to go light on the โ€œdewyโ€ moisturizers, especially during the day. However, I am looking forward to utilizing this as a luxurious night cream for my dry skin spots.
The Masks
I havenโ€™t yet used any of these yet so Iโ€™ll need to update you when I do โ˜บ๏ธ Until then, hereโ€™s a little overview of each, going clockwise from the top right of Slide 5 -
๐Ÿจ Replenishing Jeju Hydragel Mask - $7
2-piece mask that says itโ€™s green but looks gold to me ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ this oneโ€™s going to give off the most C3PO vibes, I can already tell.
๐Ÿ‰ Brightening Watermelon Vitamin C Sheet Mask - $3
What an affordable little gem! Made of pink tencel, a fabric softer than cotton which is respected as an earth-friendly, sustainable material.
๐ŸŒฑ Peppermint Foot Mask - $9
Peppermint foot cream... is anybody else thinking of Mean Girls? โ€œAll we did was make her face smell like a foot!โ€ ๐Ÿ˜‚ anywaysโ€ฆ.
I love how Oh K! has these targeted masks specifically made for feetโ€ฆ Iโ€™m usually barefoot or in flip flops during the summertime (especially now since I donโ€™t go anywhere ๐Ÿ˜…) and my poor feet donโ€™t get nearly enough attention during my typical skincare routine. Thanks to getting this Oh K! PrismPop Tester Bag, Iโ€™ll get a chance to give the tootsies some pamper time, too โ˜บ๏ธ
๐Ÿ† Leopard Print Sheet Mask - $5
Oh K! Beauty really does not overlook any detailโ€ฆ this couldโ€™ve been your everyday, run-of-the-mill exfoliating sheet mask, but since theyโ€™re so cute they went the extra mile and made the mask leopard print - blue leopard print! How adorable is that? Or is it fierce? Either way, this oneโ€™s easy to remember what it does - gets rid of your spots! (pimples) ๐Ÿ˜Š
๐Ÿค— Overall I am extremely pleased with the items in this bag and canโ€™t wait to get started on my mask challenge!
Let me know below if youโ€™ve applied already - & what product are you most excited for?
Thanks for reading!

Oh K! Moisturizer and Masks, Oh My!

Oh K! Beauty is new to me! But as a Korean-American, I always love seeing more K-Beauty in the U.S. market!
I’ve grown up with K-Beauty (though I just called it skincare growing up haha), and this is a super playful twist on the products I saw as a young girl adoring her mother’s skincare collection.
โœจGlowing Moisturizer with Citrineโœจ
The moisturizer has a lovely texture and it absorbs really well into the skin. I like that it’s thick enough to feel like it’s creating a good layer of moisture to lock in my other skincare products without feeling like it’s just sitting on top of my skin! It’s light enough to use in the summer without feeling like it’s not moisturizing my skin! It’s called the “chok-chok” moisturizer. “Chok-Chok” in Korean means moisturized/damp, and I would agree that it leaves my skin moisturized! The only downside with this product is that there is fragrance in it, which is something I try to avoid in my skincare.
โœจMasks, Masks, Masks!โœจ
The Peppermint Foot Mask was such a treat!
I’ve been spending a lot of time walking on the beach (with a mask on and far away from people of course), and as nice as it’s been, it’s left my feet looking not so great. This mask helped my feet feel more clean and soft, woohoo!
The Watermelon Vitamin C mask was something I was looking forward to because I love vitamin C. However, I noticed that after using the mask, I had a few red patches on my face. I checked the ingredients and realized that there was fragrance in them, something my sensitive skin doesn’t love. I would love if they released a mask without fragrance so I could try it out!
๐ŸคThanks for reading my thoughts, I’d love to hear yours! Have you tried this brand? What are you most interested in trying?

Self care day ๐Ÿฅฐ Sheet Mask + Moisturizer by Oh K!

Hi beauties! ๐Ÿ’•
I wanted to share with you my self-care routine, I love doing something nice for my self once in a while, today I decided to do some skincare ๐Ÿคฉ
I decided to start out with the brightening watermelon sheet mask, it had a delicious smell of watermelon and it felt so fresh and relaxing on my skin, I had to wait 20 to 30 min, so I decided to play some spa music and just disconnect from the world for a bit ๐Ÿฅฐ
When the alarm sounded I removed the sheet mask and used my Jade roller to massage the excess product into my skin๐ŸŒŸ
And lastly, I applied some of the glowing moisturizer, it made my skin super soft and glowy, and just went all day without makeup to give my face a nice break โœจ
what do you do to relax on a self-care day? ๐Ÿ˜Œ

Morning Mask and Moisturize with the Oh K! & PrismPop tester bag โœจ๐Ÿ˜

The cutest package showed up at my door the other day!
I’m so excited to try and share the Oh K! & PrismPop Tester Bag ๐Ÿ˜
This ADORABLE pouch includes:
โœจ Revitalizing Peppermint Foot Mask ($9)
๐Ÿ’• Skin Clarifying Leopard Print Sheet Mask ($5)
๐Ÿ’ง Replenishing Jeju Island Hydrogel Mask ($7)
๐Ÿ‰ Brightening Watermelon Sheet Mask ($3)
AND *drumroll*
๐ŸŒŸChok Chok Glowing Moisturizer ($15)
โฌ†๏ธ full size ๐Ÿ˜
All of these products came in the cutest holographic bag that I can’t wait to use again!
Korean skincare is something that I had heard a lot about but never tried, until now! I was also so pleasantly surprised when I saw that these products were in my Ulta store. We love accessibility!!
Packaging
This company really hits it out of the park in the cute packaging department. From the bright colors, to the fun fonts, to the little panda graphics ๐Ÿฅฐ, Oh K! packaging adds to the overall experience.
First Impressions
I’ve only tried two of the products so far, and I can’t wait to try the rest!
๐Ÿ‰ Brightening Watermelon Sheet Mask
This mask was packed with product! Be careful, the mask is definitely going to drip when you pull it out of the package. Once the mask was on I had no problems with product dripping! The instructions are on the back of the packaging presented as little images that are simple and easy to follow. The steps are essentially:
1. Clean your face
2. Put the mask on
3. Wait 10-20 minutes
4. Rub the remaining product into the skin
There was definitely extra product left on the skin after I took the mask off, but it was easy to rub in and didn’t feel heavy or greasy. My skin felt nice and refreshed afterwards!
๐ŸŒŸChok Chok Glowing Moisturizer
I’ve tried this product a couple of times over the past few days. This moisturizer doesn’t feel heavy when applied, but the results are ultra-hydrating. Because I have more combination/oily skin I wouldn’t use this product in the mornings when I typically prefer a lighter serum. Instead, this would be a nice overnight moisturizer for me! If you struggle with dry skin this could be something to look into๐Ÿ’ง
Overall
I’ve had more makeup-free days in the last couple of months than I’ve had since before I started high school ๐Ÿ‘€ so getting the chance to try some new skincare is super exciting! I know I said in my last post that I’m not usually a sheet-mask gal ๐Ÿคซ but I really enjoyed relaxing and masking the other day! I think I need to pencil more of these mornings into my schedule โœ๏ธ
How do you fit self-care into your day?!
Xoxo, Lex ๐Ÿ’•

Dupe for Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream?

Meet the Oh K! Glowing Moisturizer, my solution to glowy, dewy skin! I absolutely love Tatcha’s Dewy Cream, but my wallet doesn’t!๐Ÿ˜‚
๐Ÿ’ธ Enter Oh K! Glowing Moisturizer! ๐ŸŒŸIt’s chock full of good ingredients like Shea butter (moisturizing), and rapeseed oil (vitamin E)
๐ŸŒŸIts so much cheaper, at $15 for 2.36 oz of Oh K!, vs $68 for 1.7 oz of Tatcha ๐ŸŒŸGives you a glowy shine with Ruby powder, Citrine extract, and Quartz! ๐Ÿ’Ž
๐ŸŒŸWorks as a primer as well in the AM
๐ŸŒŸIt’s also cruelty-free and vegan๐Ÿฐ ๐ŸŒŸ”Chok chok” means damp or moist skin, and this moisturizer gives you that fresh, dewy-dumpling glow!

Overall, a fantastic moisturizer and in my opinion, a great dupe for Tatcha’s Dewy Cream! It’s definitely not a perfect copy, but for the price, you can’t beat it! ๐ŸŽThank you to PrismPop for kindly gifting this to me as part of the Oh K! tester bag!

โ˜†Packagingโ˜† This came in the cutest packaging ever and it was in a unique shape other than the usual boxed moisturizers. The actual jar is an aesthetic light pink that easily opens and closes.
โ™กFormulaโ™ก The moisturizer is very subtle in scent but has a lovely citrus note upon application. It's very cooling and refreshing to use on my face and is the perfect consistency; not too pasty and not too watery.
โ—‡Overall Opinionโ—‡ I would give this moisturizer a 5/5 for a few reasons. The packaging was adorable, the formula was pleasing on initial review, and after a few weeks I saw great results. My skin felt soft and really looked like it was glowing all day!
Vitamin C Watermelon Sheet Mask
โ˜†Packagingโ˜† What can I say? All these mask pouches are incredibly cute and aesthetic so I chose to review this beautiful red one!
โ™กFormulaโ™ก This sheet mask was very saturated in product which was nice for applying leftover serum to the neck and hands. I also loved that this didn't have a strong smell like some masks do. Not only was this mask refreshing but the serum melted right into my skin.
โ—‡Overall Opinionโ—‡ This was the perfect mask to apply after a long day of working with a fabric mask on! 1) I first took a shower and washed my face before applying this. 2) I left the mask on for 20 minutes and flipped it over to use the other side for another 20. 3) I did not apply any lotion or serums before bed to see the final results.
My face was glowing the morning after I used this watermelon mask and I would definitely buy it again!
I can't wait to test the rest of these products and let you all know my thoughts.

All I have to say is...  Wow!! This tester bag was filled with some magical goodies that included:
Chok Chok Glowing Moisturizer๐Ÿ’ฆ $15
Revitalizing Peppermint Foot Mask๐Ÿฌ $9
Jeju Mineral Lava Sea Water Hydrogel Mask๐ŸŒ‹ $7
Vitamin C Watermelon Sheet Mask๐Ÿ‰ $3

Oh K! Glow Mask Challenge โ€“ Accepted!

(The top of the Watermelon Sheet Mask is missing because I was so eager to test it, I forgot to take a group photo before opening it!)

First off, the packaging on these masks just make me happy. From the colors, to the font, to the panda peeking out from the top of the package. It makes me smile to look at them. Also, like with almost all facial sheet masks I’ve tried, there’s a lot of serum in each package (with the exception of the hydrogel mask). Like a lot a lot. I tend to also squeeze out a little from the mask so it doesn’t drip while I use it, and I’ve never had an issue with not having enough serum afterwards. Because I hate the idea of waste I always decant them into a dropper bottle and voilà more serum to use!

But on to the masks and moisturizer itself.

With the exception of the Foot Mask, after I took each sheet mask off, I let the excess serum absorb into the skin for a few minutes without rinsing it off and then applied the Chok Chok Moisturizer on top.

Oh K! Brightening Watermelon Sheet Mask with Vitamin C

Watermelon Sheet Mask

Vitamin C is a proven skin care ingredient, but as I’ve used it for years I think the effects have plateaued for me as I don’t really see much of a difference anymore (though to be honest, I didn’t really see much of a difference to begin with, but my skin did feel nice so I kept on using it). The sheet itself is thin, holds a lot of serum, and is very comfortable to wear. The serum itself does have a bit of a strong sweet scent to it. I kept it on for a bit over the recommended 20 minutes and had no issues with it drying out or falling off. (I was working in front of the computer and not moving around much for the duration, so I don’t know what would’ve happened if I decided to start moving around and doing chores.) I don’t think my skin was any brighter afterwards, but it felt nicely hydrated.

Verdict: Would recommend for the hydration and anyone who wants to try a sheet mask.

Oh K! SOS Skin Clarifying Leopard Print Sheet Mask with Tea Tree and Willow Bark

Skin Clarifying Leopard Print Sheet Mask

As someone who’s suffered from teenage acne and now adult acne, I’m always on the lookout for things that will keep my skin clear. Luckily I seem to have things under control at the moment, which unfortunately means I can’t speak to how this works on active acne. I can say that I do like how my skin feels afterwards – soft and smooth. It also felt pretty hydrated as well. The scent is also much more mild compared to the Watermelon Sheet Mask.

I’m looking forward to seeing if the leftover serum works on my skin to keep it clear. I’ve had good results with Willow Bark (specifically Burt’s Bee’s Targeted Spot Treatment and not the rest of their Natural Acne solutions line, but that’s another review) but strangely enough I don’t think I’ve ever really used Tea Tree Oil products much despite it being a solution for acne. I think I’ve used maybe one or two and either they didn’t work or were too drying. The tea tree oil in this seems more promising.

Verdict: Would recommend.

Oh K! Replenishing Jeju Island Hydrogel Mask with Jeju Prickly Pear and Green Tea

Replenishing JeJu Island Hydrogel Mask

So this was different. Instead of being a single sheet soaked in serum, this was a two piece gel mask that’s supposed to be made of the essence itself. The mask is very slippery and sort of reminds me of flat mung bean noodle sheets. The mask is also a bit fragile and easily torn, so be careful when removing it from the plastic backing – I somehow managed to put 3-4 little tears into it.

I’m not really a big fan of the 2 piece format – while the top piece stuck on my skin nicely, the bottom half seemed to always shift around and create little air bubbles. It was only after it started drying out a bit that it stuck to the skin better. Also, the two pieces leaves small parts of the skin exposed so there’s no serum being soaked in.

Those were my first impressions. 30 minutes later, I came around a bit on this mask. While I’d still prefer one piece so that all of my skin is covered and would like to be a little less fragile, this was the most comfortable face mask out of the set. Once it started to dry out a little and really stick to my skin, I forgot I had it on. It also felt slightly cooling, which I like in general, but really appreciate in this weather. As my skin isn’t dry at the moment, I can’t really say if the drying out of the mask affected its effectiveness at hydrating skin. Like with the other two face masks, my skin did feel very comfortable and hydrated after I removed it. Unlike the others though, I didn’t have a layer of excess serum that I had to wait to dry/soak in. (This was also the mask with the least amount of excess serum in the satchel.)

Verdict: Torn. Love how it felt, but unsure about its effectiveness. It is also the most expensive of the facial sheet masks and there’s little excess serum that can be used like the others.

Oh K! Chok Chok Glowing Moisturiser with Citrine

Chok Chok Glowing Moisturizer with Citrine

I gotta admit, I was very skeptical about the “Citrine Energy”, “Ruby Empower”, and “Quartz Balance” claims. I hadn’t heard of citrine before, but apparently it’s a yellow variety of quartz. I also hadn’t heard of crystals in skincare products, but apparently it’s a thing?

My crystal skepticism aside, this is a nice light moisturizer. I think the scent is a bit on the stronger, flowery/sweet side so if you’re sensitive to scents, that’s something to keep in mind. The moisturizer itself is thin, light, and absorbs into the skin nicely and my skin feel comfortably moisturized. It does leave a bit of a shine to the skin, which I suppose is the “glowing” part of the “glowing moisturizer” but as I had extremely oily skin when I was young I’m in perpetual fear of looking oily and tend to prefer a more matte look.

Verdict: Might recommend depending on what you’re looking for in a moisturizer and if you’re okay with scents. At $15 though, it’s worth it if the ingredients are something you’re looking to try and/or you want to dip into K-Beauty.

An additional note about the sheet masks and moisturizer: I tend to be very breakout prone and while I haven’t had a sudden heavy breakout I have noticed a few small clogged pores here and there a few hours after using the Skin Clarifying mask. I don’t know if the mask initiated a bit of a purge, or moisturizer isn’t playing nice (as I’ve been using that daily after each mask), or if it’s just my skin being my skin. After 3 days of masking and moisturizing though I haven’t had any big breakouts so I’m giving the products the benefit of the doubt and think it’s just my skin misbehaving.

Oh K! Revitalizing Peppermint Foot Mask

Revitalizing Peppermint Foot Mask

I was immediately hit in the face with peppermint as soon as I cut the bag open (I hadn’t even opened the individual “socks” yet, which to me is a great thing because I love how refreshing mint scents are. It definitely woke me up! Unlike the sheet masks, the layer of the sock mask that’s soaked in the serum is protected by a plastic outer layer so that you’re not dripping serum all over and you can move around in them. (The “move around part” is probably also dependent on the surface you’re walking on as you are walking around with plastic bags on your feet. I suppose you can also put slippers to avoid slipping, but why not just kick your feet up and relax?)

The other thing I love about peppermint is the cooling effect it has and this was no exception. It felt great on my feet -- I had also used a DIY scalp spray with peppermint in it beforehand so having this cooling sensation on my head and feet was really invigorating and relaxing as contradictory as that sounds. Afterwards, my feet felt soft and refreshed. My only real quibble was rinsing my feet afterwards as I’m so used to leaving leftover serums from face masks on my face to be absorbed into my skin. It felt a little wasteful to do so, like I was washing away perfectly good serum, but I wasn’t about to leave serum footprints all over the place.

Verdict: Want to go out and buy a pair for my mom!

Final Thoughts?

These were all nice masks (even the hydrogel one that I had issues with) and would recommend them to those looking to try sheet masks or K-Beauty. None were must haves for me, rather they’re nice to haves. All the facial sheet masks are touted for daily use, but honestly, that would just be too expensive for me overall.

Oh K foot mask & moisturizer review! ๐Ÿ’ฆ

๐ŸŒบOh K reviving foot mask  & honeydew moisturizer review
Hi Prismpop fam, I will be describing my experience using these two products: Oh K reviving peppermint foot mask & Oh K glowing citrine moisturizer.๐ŸŒบ
Oh K reviving peppermint mask: Per the product's instructions, I kept my feet wrapped in the peel for 15 minutes. The mask peel is very large, it looks like it will fit all shoe sizes. After I took the mask off, I noticed how soft my skin felt! My dryness left, my skin looks rejuvenated and well kept. There’s a faint scent of peppermint, it’s light and provides a relaxing ambiance.
Oh K glowing citrine moisturizer: I first have to say the box for this product is unique and colorful. The jar size is decent and fits perfectly inside my medicine cabinet. I applied three pea-sized portions onto my face. The product blends well across the skin, you will not need to be heavy-handed with this product! My skin felt hydrated, smooth, and clean. I didn’t run into any issues using this moisturizer. It’s not harsh at all, I appreciate this as I used to struggle with a bad case of rosacea. Overall, I am pleased with the total outcome of these products!
