I ordered this set for $17.50 from Sephora.
The Liner - This liner formula is smooth and glides on easily. It is long wear so it does a pretty good job of staying put unless you eat something.
The Lipstick- Very creamy, buttery lipstick with good pigment. Feels super hydrating, leaves my lips feeling moisturized even after it has worn off. This formula includes squalane, olive, jojoba, and avocado oils and shea butter, so it really does wonderful things for your lips!
Gloss- Pretty pearlescent with little flecks of glitter, but was a little thicker of a formula than I like or than was necessary. It goes well with the liner and lipstick but it moves the lipstick around and absolutely ruins the work you just put in applying the first two steps. You have to more or less just dab it on to prevent that, but once you rub your lips together it still moves the lipstick around. I think I may try setting the lipstick before applying the gloss next time to see if it helps 🤔
Overall thoughts: I think the finished product looks beautiful, and it is a stunning nude that would compliment most skin tones. That gloss takes a little extra work and I would rather use a gloss that is easier to apply over the liner and lipstick, and use the Marc Jacobs gloss on its own or with a lipstick that is a little more resilient. It is also important for me to note that the liner and the lipstick are identical in color (on the photo on the box, it looks to be just slightly darker, which I would have preferred) and I added a slightly darker liner to my lips for the photographs I included here.
The price point is also a little disappointing. When I pulled the products out of the box I was a little upset at how tiny they were. I am not accustomed to the weight information of lip products and didn’t think to compare them with some of my own products at home before purchasing, and for the price I was expecting twice the size I received. These are basically sample sizes. Just a heads up to anyone thinking of purchasing!
