I'm a lipstick lover, but I don't want to eat it. That's why I prefer long-wear liquid matte lipsticks, like MAC's Powder Kiss liquid lipstick. 💗

I love trying out new lipsticks, so I was excited to give these products from MAC a try. I bought them myself because I was so excited that I couldn't risk having to wait for a freebie! 😋
I also got to choose my own shades. 👄

This lipstick retails for $26 on the official website, but you can often find it on sale at Sephora. It's currently available in 22 shades, and I tried out 3 of them for myself. 🥰
Everyone knows that MAC lipstick is high quality, but how does this one match up? Read on to learn my thoughts.🕵️♀️

🌸Sorry Not Sorry
This is the first shade I swatched because I was so excited about it. It's a warm burnt-orange shade that's perfect for autumn. It's similar to a shade from another brand, Lime Crime, that I can never find anymore! RIP Lime Crime Pumpkin 🎃
A single layer makes it more suitable for summer, but I love layering it thick for a bold look.
💋Make Love to the Camera
This is a totally vampy color, and I love it. It's so dark that it won't be right for everyone, but I think this deep wine tone will be great for winter get-togethers or a saucy Halloween look.
If you're not into dark lips, you can also use it for an ombre look. 💗
🌼Over the Taupe
This is a dirty nude shade (but it's not as naughty as it sounds). Consider it a slightly cooler and darker version of your own lip color. I think this is super nineties, but it also reminds me of the taupe lip trend that was going around in the mid-2010s. 😍
It's still warm enough not to make you look corpse-like. 😃
🌺Overall Review🌷
All of these lipsticks have a soft matte finish, making them perfect for daily wear. If you've ever had a MAC lipstick, you can expect the scent. They smell like every other MAC lipstick I've ever owned! 💄
These lipsticks aren't as long-lasting or smudge-proof as some of my other liquid mattes, but they do wear evenly throughout the day. You also don't have to scrub your lips to get rid of the lipstick, but it does seem to be pretty waterproof.💧
I recommend an oil-based makeup remover or coconut oil to get rid of your lipstick at the end of the day. It does stain, but I like that.💘
✅Pros and Cons❌
So what are the general pros and cons of MAC Powder Kiss Lip colours? As you can probably tell, I'm a pretty big fan of these lipsticks. Here are a few of my favorite things:

💖 The soft staining (but you may not like this)
It's hard to find downsides. If I have to give a few cons, they include:

Almost every makeup brand has liquid lipsticks available, so there are too many competitors to count! I have narrowed it down to a few that seem to be pretty popular, however. Here's a quick rundown.
🌸NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream has been around for a while now. NYX has other liquid lipsticks, but this is the most budget-friendly option, and you can often get it for $5 at your local drug store (though this will vary, and it ranges up to $6.50).
It comes in a whopping 34 shades.
In my experience, this lip cream isn't as long-lasting. You also get less lipstick per tube, but due to the affordability, I actually think it's comparable to MAC for people on a budget, even though the quality is lower.
🌼BLK/OPL Liquid Matte Lipstick
It comes in 10 impressive shades, and all of them are quite deep.
Each lipstick retails for $10.50 on the official website, but you may be able to find them cheaper during sales. That said, they're already incredibly affordable.
These lipsticks are long lasting and they're comfortable on the lips. They're definitely comparable to MAC lipsticks if you like deep tones.
🌸Glossier Generation G
This Glossier lipstick isn't actually liquid lipstick at all; it's a standard lipstick. It has a soft matte finish that looks natural.
There are 9 shades that range from light to dark, and each lipstick costs $18 on the official website. Because they're not liquid lips, the wear definitely isn't as good. 🤷🏻♀️
For people who want long-lasting color, MAC wins this round.

Overall, MAC Power Kiss Liquid Lipstick is a winner for me. I love liquid-to-matte lipsticks, so I might be biased, but this seems like the best MAC lipstick yet. ❤️
Of course, the relatively high price point might be problematic for makeup-lovers on a budget, but adding one of these lipsticks to your collection is worthwhile. 🤑
I recommend these lipsticks to anyone who loves long-wear matte liquid lips. They're non-drying, comfortable, and long-lasting. 💯

1. What is MAC's Best-Selling Lipstick?💙
MAC's best-selling lipstick is the matte velvet lipstick in Velvet Teddy. For people who like deeper shades, Ruby Woo and Russian Red have also been long-time favorites. ❤️
Your favorite lipstick will depend on your aesthetic and skin tone.
2. Is MAC Lipstick Long-Lasting?💛
This particular MAC lipstick is long-lasting. That said, not all of them are. If you want a long-lasting lipstick, you want to choose one that's matte.
Lipsticks with glossy finishes or satin finishes will not last as long as mattes. Matte liquid lipsticks tend to be difficult to remove, so they're your best bet if you want to wear lip color all day long.
3. Is MAC Lipstick Good for Lips?💚
Again, this will vary. The MAC Powder Kiss liquid lipstick isn't bad for your lips, but you should wear chapstick between wears to keep them soft. 👄
Some people find lipstick drying. It does claim to offer 10 hours of hydration, but your mileage may vary.
4. What MAC Lipstick Looks Good on Everyone?💜
There's no one perfect lipstick for everyone! While I think anyone can look good in red, some people prefer nudes, pinks, or deeper tones.
You'll want to swatch a few colors before committing. If you have a local Sephora, try there first. Even if you can't find the exact lipstick you're looking for, try to find a comparable color so you can see what it looks like on your skin!
5. Which MAC Lipstick Lasts the Longest?🧡
So far, this has been the longest-lasting MAC lipstick for me. Because it's a matte liquid lipstick, it has far more longevity than even the most matte tube lipsticks.
Again, it's not completely smudge-proof, but the 10-hour wear (albeit with fading) is impressive and should get you through an average workday without the need to touch up your lips unless you eat something oily.
6. Are MAC Lipsticks Drying?💙
Some MAC lipsticks are drying, yes. Overall, I find them comfortable, but I also exfoliate and hydrate my lips when I'm not wearing lipstick.
MAC lipsticks with glossy or velvet finishes are not as drying, but the tradeoff is that they don't last as long.
Even MAC matte lipsticks are less drying than many of the more affordable competitors, so keep that in mind.
