I loooove taking pictures! As they say, picture says a thousand words! That’s why I got so excited when Prismpop offered the newest Instax Mini 11 in their tester store in exchange of points!

🤳🤔MY EXPERIENCE:
✅PROS:
👍This is very beginner friendly and such a simple camera to operate. Thus it is also perfect for kids! So easy to use!
👍The uber cute design and color of the camera always gets me giddy whenever I see it.
👍Compared to its predecessors, it already has a selfie mode with auto focus and lighting! You don’t need to worry about blurred selfies and awkward maneuvering of the device to get selfies because it also has buttons in the front for easy access.
👍As with any instax camera, it is very convenient to immediately print pictures you have just taken, thus, storage and organization will be easier as well.
👍Fun to use and aesthetically colorful gadget to tote during vacation trips!
❌CONS:
👎May be a bit bulky for one hand operation, which usually happens when taking selfies, even for kids’ hands.
👎Requires two(2) double AA batteries to operate, thus it may be a little inconvenient to bring and replace just in case battery runs out.
👎Instax film can be a little costly at 14-15 USD for a set of of 20 sheets.
👎No softcopy of the picture is saved because of it being a manual film camera.
👎Of course, there would be no features that you can conveniently find in a phone or digital camera like bluetooth, self timer etc.
👎Picture sizes are small and you cannot reprint it into a larger photo paper unless you scan the picture and save a soft copy.
🥊COMPETITION/ ALTERNATIVE:
🤔Fujifilm Instax link2 printer 99 USD- this is not a camera but a printer that uses the instax mini film. I have owned an early predecessor of this camera and have always found it more convenient to be able to choose, adjust and print photos from my phone gallery because i have always used my phone or a digital camera to take pictures.
🤔Kodak Printomatic Digital Instant Print Camera 49 USD - it is also an instant print camera much like the Instax mini but you can save pictures because it has storage and it also is usb rechargeable. Also, the films are much less expensive (25 USD for a pack of 50 sheets) than the instax mini’s and you can also peel it off and use as a sticker. It is also much more compact than the instax mini.

⁉️Is Instax Mini 11 worth buying?
🤔Despite the cons, I still think instax mini cameras are not really a novelty. I see this like our old film cameras although the picture sizes are much smaller and the instax cameras are way cuter! Just for the looks and functionality, it is worth it I think and not just kids but also kids at heart would definitely love it to take and print pictures and organize them into fun little albums or display in various ways.
🤔Also, given the limit of its battery life and film sheets cost, one would be more mindful and selective of great and awesome moments to save and print rather than an overwhelming number of pictures from an event or trip!
