Miss Dior was released in 1947, just a decade after the end of the Great Depression and only two years after the end of World War II. Households were still recovering from the immense hardship that this tumultuous time period brought to them, but Christian Dior, the founder of the House of Dior, was on a mission to bring back the luster and love of the Roaring ‘20s.😌
This high-end perfume was created in honor of Christian’s sister, Catherine Dior. She was a French resistance fighter during the Nazi Germany occupation of France. Catherine was often nicknamed “Miss Dior,” which is where the name of this eau de parfum comes from. 😘
Since its initial release almost 80 years ago, the scent has gone through dozens of stylistic and ingredient changes. However, not everyone is so happy with these changes.🙄
💕The first-ever release, Miss Dior Originale, took the world by storm and became a status symbol for women all over the world. The instantly recognizable floral-chypre scent has notes of gentle jasmine, patchouli, and galbanum.💝
❤️Since then, there have been many new releases of this iconic perfume. Currently, Dior sells the Miss Dior Originale, Miss Dior Rose Essence, Miss Dior Eau de Parfum, Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet, Miss Dior Rose N’ Roses, Miss Dior Eau de Toilette, and Miss Dior Absolutely blooming. If you couldn’t tell, Miss Dior is associated with impressive floral scents, like centifolia rose and lily of the valley, which is a bell-shaped white flower with a distinctive scent.🔥
One of the most popular re-releases of Miss Dior was Miss Dior Cherie, which was released in 2005. This uniquely fruity-smelling eau de parfum spray quickly captured the hearts of pre-teens, teens, and young women and was considered to be the most youthful scent of its time. 🤗
Unfortunately, Miss Dior Cherie perfume was discontinued. It’s not apparent why it was taken off the shelves, but it’s safe to say that the online perfume community was not happy. 😞
😄 The Miss Dior Eau de Parfum is the best-selling fragrance of Dior at this time. It is a fresh, floral perfume that has peppery notes from centifolia rose, lily of the valley, apricot-like peony, and powdery iris to top it all off. It’s a gentle, feminine perfume that has never been topped by any of the previous releases.
I purchased the Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet Perfume since I prefer more brightly floral-scented perfumes. This new scent has a profound sweetness from the top notes of the Damascus rose, peony, and Calabrian bergamot. 🥰
It’s tender and more subtle than the Miss Dior Eau de Parfum, but it has a notable feminine elegance to it. It is quite different from the original eau de parfum from the Miss Dior collection, but it is a tribute to Christian Dior’s love for countless flowers. 🌸

🥳 Let’s talk about what Miss Dior brings to the table on the basis of each of these factors!
✌The product quality of the Miss Dior perfume is definitely there. Though I chose the Blooming Bouquet release instead of the original or the current Miss Dior Eau de Parfum, there was no doubt that the quality did not waver.
The perfume is rated a three out of four on the intensity scale by Dior, and I noticed this to be true. It stayed on all day but was gone by the next morning. ☀️
✌Price was one of my top decision-making factors for buying this perfume. You can choose sizes from 1oz all the way up to 5oz, and prices range from $72-150 depending on your size choice. It’s definitely pricey, but I chose the 1.7oz option after trying the tester in the boutique and falling in love with the scent. 🤩
✌Christian Dior is a historic designer brand that is known all over the world. It competes with top couture houses like Chanel, Gucci, and Burberry. Did you know that world-renowned brands like Dior, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany and Co., Givenchy, and Off-White are all owned by the same company? This massive parent company is called LVMH and has the tightest grip on the luxury industry in the world. 🌍
🌝I love the history of Dior, which is why I was in the boutique in the first place!
✌The ingredients in this perfume aren’t much different than those in other high-end perfumes. However, what makes it smell great is the Damascus rose from Turkey or Bulgaria, peony, and gentle bergamot from Italy.
Did you know that this perfume, like many others, is made with white musk? White musks are synonymous with personal care products, like perfumes, for their clean, fresh scent. What’s shocking is that white musk comes from the butt of a musk deer! 🤢
I mean… it smells good, so… still gonna use it! 😄
✌Packaging of the Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet is very impressive. For the price I paid, it better be! 🤣
The slight baby pink perfume sits in an adorable glass bottle finished with a metallic gold or silver bow. It looks perfect on my bathroom counter, and I use it every day! 😍
👉 Pros
⚡️The Miss Dior perfume is so refreshing. It’s fresh, floral, and has a hint of youthfulness that you typically don’t get from brand-name perfumes. I love the touch of bergamot and, of course, the star of the show, the Damascus rose.
I’m not a fragrance expert by any means, but this scent is phenomenal!
⚡️The alcohol scent evaporated quickly, but the fragrance itself lasted all day long. Most of my other perfumes are not able to do that, so I was quite impressed.
⚡️The packaging of the Miss Dior perfume makes me want to proudly display the bottle in my bathroom with the rest of my personal care items. I love the pink color of the spray, and the bottle itself feels very high-quality and that it wouldn’t break if I dropped it.
⚡️Most importantly, my cats loved it, too! My two fur babies couldn’t stop rubbing against the bottle, trying to get a whiff.

❌Really pricey. I chose the second-smallest size, and it was still $95. I hope that it lasts me a while, though!
❌Knowing where white musks come from is a little off-putting…
❌Though I love the pink color, Miss Dior gets it from unnatural and potentially toxic dyes.
❌Because Dior changes its perfume formulations all the time, you never know if your favorite scent is going to be discontinued. I’m trying not to get too attached!
👉 Is the Miss Dior Perfume worth it?
Besides the price, I adore this perfume.
🤔 I think that the Miss Dior fragrance is worth the $95 that I spent. I can’t stop smelling myself!
I can’t wait to try out the Miss Dior Rose N’ Roses Eau de Toilette, which is made with grasse rose (sometimes referred to as the cabbage rose), too. I’ve heard great things about it, and it’s next on my list!
