Here is how I’ve been using the Collective Laboratories Activating Serum as part of my usual post-wash hair routine!
💁♀️My Hair type/concern 💁♀️
I dyed my hair last summer to a grayish brown and it required 2 rounds of bleaching (to a level 7). I do hair masks very regularly but the bottom 2/3 of my hair is usually pretty dry.
🚿I wash my hair every 2-3 days depending on how much I sweat.
😞Have been worried about hair loss a bit more this year due to stress and health

🍼Packaging - Apothecary style brown glass bottle with dropper, simple and elegant
👃Scent - very pleasant medicinal scent from the ginseng and other natural ingredients
🍯Texture - light yellow liquid
💫Ingredient highlights - this serum’s two start ingredients are ginseng root and biotin, natural ingredients that strengthen the roots and promote microcirculation. Other great ingredients include lilac stem cells, pumpkin seed oil, burdock root, hydrolyzed jojoba esters, and various natural oils. I highly recommend you checking out their ingredient breakdown! They list the purpose and origins of a great list of ingredients. Click here
🧖♀️How I Use It 🧖♀️
I use this as a post-shower serum before I blow-dry my hair in the following steps
-Towel dry scalp
-Comb out any knots
-Section hair for precise application, full syringe for whole head
-Apply and massage for a minute until a slight warming sensation occurs and eases. The serum is very light so it is easy to spread around as I massage it, I do not feel it clinging to hair strands or clumping up. I like to re-apply whatever is left in the syringe to where I part my hair and around my hairline where my baby-hairs are.
-Blow-dry!
👀Benefits 👀
✨First thing I noticed is that it provides a boost of volume after my blow-dry, and the volume helps pretty well throughout the day.
✨ A more long term effect I’ve noticed is that my scalp doesn’t get as itchy anymore! Even on day 3 or day 4 hair, where my natural oils make my hair pretty “gross”, my scalp doesn’t feel itchy.
✨Hair loss - I have noticed less shedding since I started using this serum almost every time I wash my hair. See a comparison of my hair-part below! (Both day 2 or 3 hair)
Conclusion!
If you haven’t cared for your scalp, now is a good time to start. It has been a stressful year so far so we can all use a little help to prevent stress-induced hair-loss of other hair problems. I highly recommend trying this serum out! Apply apply apply 😉
