Hey there Instafam Beauty's! How's everyone doing today? Any big plans for the weekend? Looks like I'll be writing a lot this weekend because I'm just swamped with PR that got put off this month. Lol Anywho. Anytime I get stressed out lately, I end up with more Acne and really Oily skin. It's funny how my body works sometimes. May I say, I am so lucky to have discovered Dr. Zenovia's Skincare products!
Dr. Zenovia specializes in Hormonal Acne and Hormonal Skin Conditions. A lot of her products are made to help with Acne in one way or another. This month I got another fantastic PR Box from them and one of the products was her 5% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Spot Treatment. I am beyond impressed with this Spot treatment! I've tried a couple of her Acne products and each time they seem better and better!

⚕️ Dr. Zenovia - 5% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Spot Treatment [ 15ml / $25.00 ]
👉 What it does! - (from the brand itself!)
✔️ Clinical-grade hormonal acne solution to target flare-ups whenever they strike while helping to reduce any redness or irritation.
✔️ Medical-grade Bakuchiol and Aloe Vera work together to help soothe acne-prone, sensitive skin.
🤓 My Personal Experience! -
I absolutely LOVE Dr. Zenovia's products! Not just her Acne products too but all of her products that I've tried. When she says "Medical-grade" she really isn't joking! This Acne Spot Treatment works so well! I put a tiny bit on my fingertip and tap it in. When I wake up the next morning, my skin is less Oily and my pimples have shrunken and they have either dried up or have started to dry up. It's incredible!
I don't know about you guys but for myself, I've always been intimidated by Acne products because the ones that I had already tried were super harsh on my skin. This one isn't! If anything it does the total opposite! Check out my list of Pro's and Con's down below! Let's dive right in!
🥰 Pro's! -
▪️It has a water-type creamy texture. It's like when you mix your Serums with your moisturizer before applying them.
▪️It's completely fragrance-free. Some products that say fragrance-free still have a scent from the natural ingredients but this one doesn't! It has no scent at all!
▪️It's fast absorbing. After tapping it into my skin, it absorbs REALLY fast and just disappears.
▪️Not only does it treat acne but it helps prevent future breakouts too. It started reducing and treating my acne literally overnight.
▪️The medical-grade Bakuchiol and Aloe Vera in it work together to help soothe acne-prone, sensitive skin.
▪️It reduces redness and balances hormonal skin, leaving it soft and radiant-looking.
▪️It doesn't dry out my skin or clog my pores. It also treats and reduces blackheads.
▪️It's really Hydrating and moisturizing too. My skin is soft and smooth.
▪️This Acne treatment is suitable for all skin types. Even people who have really sensitive skin.
▪️It doesn't make my skin feel tight. It doesn't make my skin look or feel sticky or greasy.
▪️Compared to other brands, Dr. Zenovia's acne treatment is much more affordable!
❌️ Con's! -
▪️Because of the Benzoyl Peroxide this Spot treatment has the potential to dry out your skin. (It doesn't on my skin!)
▪️It comes in a tiny container. It's a really small amount of product but it's totally worth the price.
📇 Key Ingredients! -
• 5% Benzoyl Peroxide – An ultra-micronized, non-irritating, anti-bacterial, acne-reducing antiseptic agent. Hydrogen peroxide is an oxidizing agent. This means that it can effectively kill living cells, such as bacteria, via a process known as oxidative stress.
• Aloe Vera – Is a medical-grade ingredient containing antioxidants and Vitamins A & C to help soothe and calm hormonally-imbalanced skin. Regularly applying a small amount of aloe vera to the face can help treat various skin conditions, including acne, eczema, and sunburn.
• REG-ulate360 Complex™ – Featuring medical-grade actives including Resveratrol, Vitamin E, Green Tea, and a cutting-edge, plant-derived phytoestrogen known as Genistein, this proprietary technology helps restore the appearance of hormonally imbalanced skin to an optimal healthy state.
• Bakuchiol – Powerful antioxidant known as a “natural retinol" with a curated Antioxidant Blend – Comprised of Green Tea Polyphenols, Caffeine and Vitamin E to soothe, calm and nourish skin.
💡Fun Fact! -
Blackheads are one type of non-inflammatory acne. They are clogged pores that form as a result of the buildup of keratin (dead skin cells), sebum, and dirt that have oxidized. This causes the dark heads to appear. It can be tempting to pinch the black plug out, but this can cause scarring and skin damage!
🚫 The No No List! -
• No-Gluten • No Artificial Colors • No Phthalates • No Parabens • No Sodium • No Mineral Oil • No Propylene Glycol •
🥳 The Happy List! -
• Cruelty-Free • Medical-grade • Dermatologist Tested and Created • Clinically Formulated • Plant-derived • Clean Ingredients • Affordable • Available at Sephora •
🔎 Directions! - (treating acne-prone skin)
1️⃣ Cleanse your skin with Dr. Zenovia's 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Cleanser in the morning and before bed.
2️⃣ Next, follow up with Dr. Zenovia's 10% Glycolic Acne Control Peel Pads. Swipe over entire face morning and before bed.
3️⃣ Now apply a thin layer to affected areas and in spots that might get acne later. Do this once a day and build up to 3 times a day.
4️⃣ You can finish your Skincare routine with Dr. Zenovia's Aloe Vera Blemish Soothing Moisturizer.
🚨 Warnings! -
👉 Skin irritation and dryness is more likely to occur if you use another topical acne medication. If irritation occurs, only use one acne medication at a time.
👉 Keep away from your eyes and mouth. If swallowed, call poison control right away.
✅️ My Conclusion! -
I absolutely love this spot treatment! I wish I hadn't ripped open my pimple like I did because my pictures aren't a very good example at how well it works. It was almost gone until I did that. Anywho. It's an incredible fast acting acne treatment that also prevents future breakouts. It also really seems to make my skin heal faster. I definitely recommend it! 👌
