Volume, volume, and more volume...I love a mascara that really adds volume to my lashes. I have naturally light lashes as I'm a redhead so I need to really pump up my lashes. So far I've never tried a lash primer. I'd love to get the opportunity to try this Lancome Cils Booster XL. It might just be the most important thing in my beauty regimen I've been missing! As for the question of ranking I'd say, of course, #1 is volume, #2 is length, #3 is curl, #4 longevity, and last, but certainly not least, ease of removal comes in at #5 for me. If I find a mascara that I love it doesn't matter how easy or hard it is to remove, I'm just super pumped that I found something new and amazing!

I have yet to find a mascara that doesn't make my eyes itch and water. I have mainly tried drug store brands. I would love a mascara that gives my lashes length without caking or spider webbing.

  • Michelle

Length, Curl, Volume, Easy to wash off & Longevity!

  • Nancy Jachcik

i Like a mascara that last long, does not smear but is easy to remove. It has to have the ability to make my lashes look longer and thicker without clumping

  • Maia

I would looooovvveee to try this on my dainty fine lashes. 😍 😍 😍

  • Gina

I look for a mascara that offers length, volume so i actually look like i have lashes i need something thats going to hold up to mu ruff days

  • Pauline

My Mascara matches Maybelline Falsies for more volume. No Poreblem Primer was ideal especially for people who can't afford a Dermatologist for problem skin. I felt it covered all ground and masked the open pores. They all look easy to remove.

I've never tried a primer. I look for a mascara that offers length, volume and longevity. I work long hours and need something that is going to last.

  • Ann Morgan

My main thing I look for in my mascara is that it makes my lashes darker and longer.

  • Sabrina

I don't use mascara because I don't have top eyelashes, but I'm very interested in learning how to use artificial lashes. I've seen some influencers use mascara in them and I'm curious how it would be removed.

I am very much a fan of a good mascara that can benefit my eyes by improving and increasing the appearance of long, full, and curled lashes. I can't tolerate that spidery, clumped up lashes. I hate when my lashes are never held perfectly curled. I always feel like what is the point of curling my lashes if the curl won't hold, but if the mascara can bring me great heights, that is something I am super excited and happy with! ☺♥ So to get my lashes in the way I like, my ranking of each benefit of the mascara would have to go like this: 1.) Curl 2.)Length 3.)Volume 4.)Longevity 5.)Ease of Removal. I know it might seem strange to have such an order. However, I find that it really is the order I like best. When I have any mascara, the first thing is curling effect and length. However, the curl is more important cause I only like the use of it to give me a curl. Though I do like the length to make my eyes stand out. Then the volume, to get that beautifully full lashes appearance. Lastly, the long results kept throughout the day and of course, removing to be quick.n They are not as important as the curl and length. However, I do like everything to be just the best in results. ☺♥ I also like to test primers by the result of coverage and length of time it keeps my skin feeling moisturized and not looking dry or feeling tacky just from the start. I like something that is light and really fills the pores up. Giving me a smooth surface, or maybe I should call it a canvas to apply my art too! ☺♥ If the primer is easy to apply, covers the pores, and not irritates my skin, causes breakouts, or feels gross once applied, then that is the primer for me! Additionally, long-lasting moisture throughout the day, keeping my skin protected from dehydration is also another perfect primer benefit I would love to have!

Congrats Chasity Westover! It would be great for anyone to win this mascara. I would love to.

  • Denise

I have a lot of lashes so curl and length are my first choices then volume, longevity and ease of removal.

  • Ashley Buff

Length, volume, curl, longevity, ease of removal. As far as new primers, I usually judge based on ease of application, compatibility with my foundation, evening out of skin tone/pores, and how long my foundation lasts/stays oil free.

  • Amy scheld

Definitely number one for me in mascara is ease of removal! Even after you’ve used make up remover you still sometimes wake up with that blurred blotch of mascara under your eye. This often prevents me from wearing mascara, volume and length would be next order of importance on my list. Curl can be achieved with an eyelash curler so that is the least important. when using a primer I believe you just have to hope it works unless you take before and after pictures!

  • Serena

I’m all about the lashes so my order would be length, volume, curl, longevity and ease of removal. That being said, there are some waterproof mascaras that I love but don’t wear too frequently because of the removal process (Eyeko Beach and Sport to name a few). As far as primer goes my answer would have been different a couple of months ago or BPP (my new term = before PrismPop). I used to just think primers were equal - I know rookie mistake. Now that I understand more and see how they work I would say compatibility with other makeup (does it help it go on evenly, stay on longer, look better etc). Another huge factor is how it coats my dry skin but doesn’t feel too tight or restricting. It’s interesting because the 2 primers I’ve been using are Tatcha Silk Canvas and e.l.f. Soothing Primer. I received some Tarte foundation/concealer samples and the Tatcha primer worked great with them but the e.l.f. not so much! Sorry for the rant guys 🤦‍♀️ I got really invested in this question!

😍😍😍😍😍 1 (most important) - 5 (least important) 1 - Length 2 - Volume 3 - Curl 4 - Ease of removal 5 - Longevity As to how I try out a new primer, I'm going to answer this with regard to face primer, the first couple-few times I will try just the primer alone after washing my face and lightly moisturizing, to see how the primer feels and behaves on my skin without committing to a day of make-up. After getting a sense of how the primer sits/absorbs into my skin, I will apply foundation without much else to see how the primer and foundation interact. So long as there's no problems arising from use so far, I'll use the primer underneath a fuller face of cosmetics. By that point I feel like I have given the product a fair fighting shot at proving it does what it ought/claims.

Ok so Volume and length are running dead on head to head. They work together for me to be able to achieve the lashes I desire. I use a old fashioned eyelash curler and personally have never really thought mascara curled mine in any way like the curlers do. I do want my mascara to last as long as possible just as any woman would. I use water proof mascara over the last few coats on my lastes and I believe I typically need 67 coats: give or take. I have a hard time getting waterproof mascara off if I apply it directly to my lashes. So for me; my helpful tip is to only use the waterproof for the last few coats. The water proof will help you to extend the life of your lashes. It's also much easier to remove this way. The best way for me to test the effectiveness of a primer is on freshly cleansed skin. Remove all excess oils. There you have it. Ya'll have a blessed day. I"m going night night
