Primer Showdown: Glassy Skin Balm vs. No Poreblem! When to use what?

I’m doing a showdown between 2 Touch In Sol Primers! A side-by-side application and wear test under my favorite concealer will definitely help me make my mind up.

🧐Products Mentioned 🧐
Pretty Filter Glassy Skin Balm
No Poreblem Primer
YSL All Hours Concealer

👀Initial Application 👀

Pretty Filter Glassy Skin Balm
💖Basics- Thick creamy texture, blends out fast, light floral scent
💖Finish - very dewy, slightly sticky
💖Concealer - Applied very smoothly, provided more grip for the concealer, not slippery or patchy, made the concealer more hydrating
No Poreblem Primer
💖Basics- Ligh pink gel texture, blends out to a smooth waxy feel, similar to other pore-filling primers’ texture, little to no scent
💖Finish - soft matte, non-sticky
💖Concealer - Applied at normal speed, not patchy as all, created a subtle self-setting effect

⏳4 Hour Wear Test + Verdict (no setting powder) ⏳

Pretty Filter Glassy Skin Balm - still very hydrated, slight creasing, coverage wore off very evenly, not patchy
This would be really nice under setting powder to keep the skin hydrated and prevent the powder from getting patchy.
No Poreblem Primer  - still soft-matte, retained coverage pretty well, got a little patchy on the inner-corner (most likely due to me wearing glasses)
This would be an ideal primer if I don’t wear concealer with power, or if I choose a concealer that creases easily. I would need to set it with setting spray or be careful with smudging/rubbing.

great side by side review of these products. I loved both on your face.

I think I want to pick up the glassy skin balm. I am not normally that big on the dewy looks but this seems like it just gives a really nice healthy glow.

What a great video so informative, love when products are put to the test side by side so we can see how they perform, awesome review! Well I grew up with Rose Water in the fridge, my mom was a believer of it's benefits, I still make mine, and I kind of abuse it in the summer because it's also so refreshing! Well what I take into consideration regarding primers is that first of all has to be compatible with my foundation otherwise is a recipe for disaster, I also look for mild hydration, and that it allows my makeup a smooth application, I appreciate having that layer of protection between my skin and foundation.

I like the No Pore Problem Primer! I like the way it leaves the skin really smooth and blends with the concealer so well. Also, you can see how good the texture is. I always try to make my makeup to look as natural as possible, and the second primer will help me for sure. When I'm looking for a new primer to try, I like that it can be smooth and help me with my pores!

I haven’t tried rose water in anything other than a mist. In a primer I definitely look for exactly what you are showing in this video!!! What it will look like with and without powder and after time! I definitely look for pore filling primers and never thought I would want one to make me look dewy and help hydrate but honestly after watching this I want to try the glassy one now!!!

  • Ashley

This is an extremely helpful review!!!! Thank you for bringing up the differences with and without powder too because that definitely MATTERS!!! You are so adorable too! Absolutely love this review! I think I need to try the glassy one now after seeing how beautiful it looks

Love the video what a great idea to do! Personally I think I would like the No Pore blem better but both are awesome products in their own unique way. I really hope I get this bag! Kinda stinks they are making us wait another week. Anyway, let's answer the daily questions. Have I tried rose water? Yes, I have tried rose water and I love it!!! It's hydrating, helps main skins pH system, soothes irritation, and so much more. Plus it smells amazing!! When looking for a primer I seek out all of the above. I have dry skin so a primer that hydrates is a must. It also must fill in my pores making my pores almost invisible as well as allow my make up to go on smoothly. I like Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich Cream personally. It's very hydrating, smells amazing, absorbs easily, makes pores appear smaller, and my make up goes on smoothly over top. Love it!

This review tells me exactly which one I need! Excellent comparison. I have acne scarring from my youth and prefer the ones that will FILL all the holes! ❤️🌸

  • Nikki Lyes

This is an amazing review of these products as I've only tried the Glass Skin Balm. I love when others do wear tests so we can see the differences! I cant wait to try the No problem primer as I've heard amazing things!

Great Review on Primers! I've never bought or used a Primer before so your review helps me see how it is used. I think the Glassy Skin Balm makes your skin really glow. I think I'm gonna have to buy a Primer now to try. Thanks!💜

I like the glossy one you look amazing with it makes your beautiful and brings out a glow to your face and makes your face look bright

  • Stephanie Grant

Great review and I like a primer that feels light when applied, as for Rose water I never tried that out yet but I would love to try it out thanks again for the great review

  • Candace

Great job on your video. I'm loving the glassy skin balm. I would definitely try these products. Sending love and light to everyone.

Love the comparison, you always do a thorough job on reviews...I would really like to try them both. I have some pretty noticeable texture issues with my rapidly aging skin so I could see both working for me in different ways for different looks. Some days I just don't feel like doing the whole makeup thing, other days I'm like yep definitely wearing the full coverage stuff today...just depends on my mood. When I was younger I really hated my freckles so I'd try to wear foundation that really covered well...nowadays I'm not so worried about freckles as much as I'm worried about fine lines and those pesky dark circles and puffiness. I've found a few products that work really well for me but I'm always on the lookout for newer better stuff. Thanks for sharing your experience with us all.

Great comparison. I like them both too but I prefer the No Poreblem a bit more. When looking for the perfect primer, I look for pore-filing as well as hydration because hydration is important to me. I have never used rose water though I've heard a lot about it. I'd love to try it.

  • Mariangel Carmona

I would prefer a pore filling and matte primer because of my oily skin and big pores, though I been digging the dewy effect.

  • Crystal

Loved the review. When I look for a primer I look for one that holds foundation. Also one that fills pores and highlights. Very informative

  • Ashiah warner

Great review! When I look for primers it depends on my skin concerns. I look for a prime that fills pores, illuminate pores, holds foundation, gives the blurred effect, matte finish, and highlights. Those are very good benefits to a primer and they make any look, look amazing. From barely there to full glam. I also like gel & putty primers.

  • Christine Czaiczynski

Loved the demo review and products look great but for me I would use No Problem and concealer. I would not use the Pretty Filter Glassy because it's to shiny for me at my age.

  • Tonilynn Rosario

Loved your show and tell review. I am torn I love how dewy the Glassy Skin Balm looked till 8:30 (lol) But the No Poreblem may definitely work and feel better for me. Thanks so much

  • Bonita kasee

Nice review on these, I definitely need to try the no poreblem, primer, I need hydration and a cpl appts covered lol thanks for sharing

Thank you for the review of these products. I really love the comparison and the time you took to prove how the results have changed after 4 hours of time. I really think the No Problem Primer looks awesome as a primer and so did the Pretty filter Glassy Skin Balm. I think the balm sounds more like a product I'd love to use to keep my skin hydrated longer since my skin gets very dry throughout the day. I normally have dry skin, so to keep it hydrated, moisturized, and looking it's best, I feel I need something as hydrating as the balm for my skin. Plus, I love the idea of the floral, light scent you get. It sounds like a wonderful product, even for days not wearing anything else but the primer. I can see it being a great skin hydrating product, and can be used without the need to have on makeup.

This is a really good review. Thanks so much

  • Pauline

I thought this video expressed good nature concerning the primer and application of the concealer over time. Good review.

  • Marlena Fannin

Great review! I believe I liked the Skin Balm the best. I have never used Rose Water. It is something I would probably like but I honestly don't know what it is. The Glassy Skin Balm seems like something I would love.
