Post-Shower Facial Routine for extra ME time - Feat. Fun Facial Tools!
As someone who's always shooting content, whether it be for Instagram, YouTube, or otherwise, I sometimes just need a minute to slow. it. down.
So, let's talk about MAXIMUM me-time!
This routine is ideal for others looking to slow down, and take that extra time to pamper themselves, perhaps in lieu of going to a salon/spa and getting a facial--since that’s likely not an option these days.
P.S. The jade roller helps improve blood circulation, which does help to improve your overall health, and the stone from both these tools generally stays cool, which helps de-puff the face! Bonus tip: if you are super into de-puffing, try putting these tools in the fridge overnight before using them.
You can use any serum and moisturizer duo that you like--my current favorites are from Tata Harper. I used the Tata Harper Rejuvenating Serum first with the tools, followed by the Tata Harper Illuminating Moisturizer. Both of them have a texture that blend perfectly into the skin when rolled in with these facial tools!
I got my Jade Roller and Gua Shua set from Amazon, but you can find this duo in several different places online--just make sure your set is made of the real stone!
Step 1: Apply your serum gently onto your face with your fingers. Use the Jade Roller to roll the product into the skin--do so slowly, take your time because you deserve it! The larger side of the roller is to be used on the cheeks, forehead, and neck, and always remember to move the roller in an upwards (or diagonal, if necessary) motion so it helps sculpt the face. The smaller side of the tool can be used under the eyes.
Step 2: Apply your moisturizer and follow the same directions as above.
Step 3: Line up the long edge of the Gua Shua tool so it would hit just under the cheekbone--where you would start a makeup contour, but move from the chin upwards when actually pressing on the skin. Repeat motion 10-15 times per side.
I always recommend doing this routine when you know you’ve got time on your hands. Taking that extra time, really, truly helps you feel refreshed!
