Perfect Medium Nude Shades by Huda Beauty
Huda Beauty NUDE Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette (Medium)
The Nude Medium palette packaging is totally nude, you get the nude colors from the cover, the lettering, and even around the palette. Once you open it you can see the nudes are not so light which makes sense since this is the medium palette. I do like you have a range of warm tones that can help make any look from very light to more intense.
I am so happy I got this palette to try it out and I am so happy to receive a Huda Beauty palette.
I love how each collection stands out in a different way from the Precious Stones to now the Nude collection. But I notice the way this palette closes is different from the Precious Stone Collections, I prefer the magnetic closure versus this one that snaps close.
The shades are metallic shimmers and warm matte tones. You can expect the colors to be warm tones great for everyday looks or even for the fall.
For the application, I did a simple halo eye look just using a few shades and no concealer needed.
First Shade -
At first, I used a flat fluffy brush and picked up a light shade using this brush to help pick up more products. All I do is pack that in the crease and once I like the intensity of the color I sweep upwards (this helps to spread the product)
Next, I blend that shade using a blending brush (this helps remove any harsh lines)
Second Shade -
For the second shade, I selected a much darker shade and follow the same steps from the first shade. But this shade we apply a little lower just to create a gradient effect. Start with packing the new shade by the crease, sweep upwards then blend using a blending brush.
Third Shade -
For the third shade, I used the darkest shimmer (has a pink tone) with a brush or using your fingers I apply that all in the center of my lid. Since we are creating a halo look I wanted to start using a shimmer right in the center.
Fourth Shade -
I wanted to add some light to the center of the lid, and that is when this next shimmer came in hand. I like the nice glow it has yet I was seeing all fall on this look.. Love these 2 shimmer shades together. I only apply the shimmer shades in the center of the lid.
Fifth & Sixth Shade -
I went back to the first 2 matte shades we used to warm up the crease, but in this case, I used the first one (which is the lightest one) I place that next to the shimmer. Next, I added the darkest mattes shade to the outer corner of the lid. By adding the matte shades to the outer and inner corner of the eyelid, this helps the shimmer shade pop even more.
To finish the look I added mascara and false lashes and I was happy with how this look came out.
Overall, I really enjoyed this palette and I feel more comfortable using it for everyday looks. I love you can create great warm tone makeup looks just using one palette. I like how each shade is very pigmented so you don't need a lot to get that color payoff. The only thing I don't like is the scent but is very faint so is not so bad.
