EXFOLIATOR SHOWDOWN: Touch In Sol vs Cremo

EXFOLIATOR SHOWDOWN: Touch In Sol’s Mission Complete and Cremo’s 2 in 1 Scrub & Mask! I just received this new exfoliator from Touch In Sol and I wanted to put it against the test against the current one I’ve been using (Cremo).
🤓Facts
My skin type
- dry, usually prone to flakiness and redness
💧TOUCH IN SOL Mission Complete: $22.00
Description: Black Charcoal Gel Mild Scrub A gentle exfoliating scrub that cleanses the surface of the skin, eliminates dead skin like and leaves smooth and luminous skin.
💙CREMO CHARCOAL 2-IN-1 SCRUB & MASK $7.99
Description: Detoxify skin, draw out blackheads and reduce the appearance of pores with activated charcoal
🙌Texture
💧TOUCH IN SOL - very lightweight, almost translucent when applied, a lot of scrub granules that are very fine
💙CREMO - thick, hard to spread, heavy, only a few scrub granules in the formula, which are large, can double as a mask
Experience
When using Cremo as a scrub I had to wet that side of my face, with In Sol I did not. The In Sol side quickly dissolved into my skin and I could feel it eradicated flaky dry skin, the Cremo side was a lot more work trying to get the granules to dissolve, but eventually spread evenly. I washed both sides off and immediately my skin felt clean and soft on both sides (picture 4). After waiting 10 minutes and applying a moisturizer, I took another picture and discovered my Cremo side looked a little more red and irritated.
😍Conclusion
Touch In Sol’s Mission Complete was a much more gentle exfoliator which I prefer for my sensitive skin and was easy to apply and wash off. Since the granules of Cremo were large it was difficult to get them to break down, and I ended up just washing some way. Even though Touch In Sol is a better product, it is not as budget-friendly as Cremo.
Glad to have my Touch in Sol Exfoliator from the PrismPop Tester Bag 💕 did you apply yet?? ❤️

I exfoliate once a week. I have dry skin so exfoliating too much just makes it worse. I definitely think that Touch in sol's mild scrub would be perfect for my skin. I could definitely use a gentle exfoliator that is mild but effective on the skin.

I almost never exfoliate. I didn't feel like it did much for my skin. My skin can get irritated easily and I feel like I will scrub off a layer of my skin. This was an excellent review of these products. I would have to go with Touch in Sol's product because it works and didn't leave the reviewers face red. It is more expensive, but sometimes you have to spend more if you want a better product. Thanks!

This is an excellent review! I exfoliate at least twice a week with two separate products. I have sensitive, dry skin so I can't overexfoliate or it ends badly. I think the mission complete mild scrub would work perfectly for my skin as it isn't too abrasive while still getting the job done.

I have sensitive skin also and my skin tends to get red just like yours when using a Harsher and/ or rougher exfoliation. I actually have a brand new Favorite exfoliator! Papaya Enzyme Peel by Elemis, It’s a creme exfoliante That you rub onto your skin and let sit for 10 min. This stuff is amazing and leaves your skin so soft, softer then most exfoliators that have the actual granules Plus it Works great with sensitive skin! I ABSOLUTELY applied for this Tester Bag and are anxiously awaiting the results 😬. I love finding the next best skin care and are positive I will love the My Touch in Sol Exfoliator! Thanks 😊 for sharing your experience, you done a spectacular job!

Love the comprehensive review, personally I exfoliate around once a week! My current favorite is the black sugar wash off scrub by skinfood, another k beauty product. This scrub would be a great replacement when I run out of my current one because I like finer granules which this one has :)

  • Lisa Moore

You can see the difference. Looks like touch in sol was much gentler which I like

Excellent review! I really hope I am picked to try these products I hear so many good things about them all and I have yet to try them. Your eyes are stunning by the way. I have been using a fig scrub by I’m from lately to heavily exfoliate once or twice a week lately. Thanks for sharing ❤️

I gently exfoliate my skin several times a week. My favorite product to exfoliate with is the dry brush that I received as a complimentary gift from Pacifica Beauty! I'd love the opportunity to try the Mission Complete Mild Scrub. I think that it'd work well for me! I'm always super excited to try new things and it'd be a great addition to my beauty bag! Not to mention, the swatches look sooo satisfying! I'd love to post a picture of the product for #texturetuesday on Instagram.

I definitely think Mission Complete Mild Scrub would work for me, based on what I have read about the product on their website, including the ingredients

  • Sylvia Foster

I love the basic masks in the tubes. Like Freeman, they are 'good priced/ very affordable, I will be honest, I don't use frequently, rarely. But when I do I use what I mentioned. It's a nice scrub to give a great clean feeling. My fave is the peel off mask. It wokrds great makes my face nice and smooth. Do I think think Mission would work good for me? I don't know I'd have to try it. So yeahhh. I would like to give a charcoal mask a try.

  • Mary

Touch in sol sound like a better fit for me My usual exfoliating solution is a little bit of body wash and a mini scrubber

  • Elizabeth ML

I have more combination Skin vs yours being dry. Thanks for the product comparison. I have tried so many exfoliating scrubs over the years and never felt like I’d found one that was the perfect level of scrubbing. Either they were much too rough and left my face red and irritated or they were so gentle that they didn’t help with blackheads or clogged pores at all.

Awesome review!! I enjoyed it a lot. As my skin is so sensitive due to my lupus, I really appreciate watching reviews before any purchases. I do not like a bunch of scents for exfoliating products. I just want the product to work well and be kind to my skin! I think sometimes it is worth a few extra dollars if you can figure it out, if the product truly is better. Thanks again for sharing!

  • Naf

Nice. I can feel the Touch In Sol to work great as well. It has a lovely packaging too. I exfoliate about once a week. I currently use ST. Ives apricot face exfoliator.

  • Shauna Urban

love your review! Exfoliating is so important to a healthy skin routine.

  • Jennifer Henning

Wow! The results are amazing and you can clearly see this face wash works. I'd love to try this. This is a great review. Thank you for sharing

  • Micheala

thanks for comparing these two. Great review

  • Candis Mathis

Thanks for the review! I'm always looking remedies for my blackheads! The Cremo sounds like it'd be worth a try! Your skin was red & irritated because there's probably benzoyl peroxide or sacilyc acid in it to treat blackheads.

  • Cristy

What a great review you have here. I haven't tried this as of yet, but it seems perhaps I should. I do love the line Touch In Sol and have used their products on clients and I have to say, I've always received good comments about the results. At the moment my favorite exfoliate product is Liquid ExfoliKate by Kate Somerville which is a triple acid resurfacing treatment. It's a leave-on exfoliating solution that gently sloughs away surface dullness overnight while you sleep so you awake with a fresh and luminous glow.

  • Susan

Thank you for your review. I like the comparison of the two scrubs. I have used a charcoal scrub before and thought it worked very well, I believe it was by Freeman. I like to exfoliate every other day. Right now my new personal favorite is SOFT SKIN AVOCADO & HONEY SCRUB by St. Ives. It leaves my entire body soft and smooth with a nice healthy glow. I think that TOUCH IN SOL would work nicely on my skin and I would love to give it a try.

  • Natalia Orozco

Exfoliate the body is very important because it helps to removed the dead cells on the skin. I do it at least once per week so my skin will be smooth after the mixture that I made myself using sugar as the main ingredient. With chemo or touch in sol it will facilitate my exfoliation time. According to your experince the products are very neat and perfect for all skin types.

  • Sarena

The touch and sol one looks a little bit more cleared out more than the other side and it looks very smooth and soft to skin.

  • Stephanie Esparza

I like Dermalogica as it is fine granules that exfoliates dead skin cells once a week and on occasion will use Vivo per lei peeling exfoliant once every other week.

  • Deleon

I’ve recently used the elf exfoliator, it is very subtle and did an ok job.. I have dry skin that is prone to flakiness as well.. both of these seems to do a pretty good job on your face... it’s really hard for me to find a product that really is exfoliating to my skin.. I think because my skin is very textured. I’ve never used a touch of sol product before, I hope with continued use it makes your skin glow even more over time..❤️

  • Katie

Love the way the Touch In Sol looks! I really like how gentle it looks. Think this would be perfect for my skin!
