Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Concealer Perfect For Quick Cover-up
I first associated the idea of this concealer with YSL Touche Eclat, one of the best brightening concealer pens out there. This meant I knew to expect a lighter coverage.
🎨SHADES + SWATCHES - There are 6 shades in this lineup. The concealers I received didn’t have the shade names written on them, but I believe I was able to properly sort out the color differences. It’s kind of a shame that most of the shades are quite light. I use Fair, even though it’s a tad yellow for me. The swatches I have are : L-R: Fair, Light, Light/Medium, Medium, Medium/Deep, Deep.
📦PACKAGING - For fun, I read some reviews of this and saw a lot of people didn’t know how to get the product out. The product is in the tube and needs to be pushed into the brush tip for application. The way to do this is to twist the bottom counterclockwise. It will click with each twist, and it takes a lot of clicks to get it out the first time. You can watch the concealer go up through the clear part of the concealer tube, and then it will push onto the brush tip.
🖌APPLICATION – Once I made it through all of that (which wasn’t bad, I’m just being dramatic), I applied a small blob of the product under each eye. It’s quite creamy and lightweight.
I prefer blending with a damp Beautyblender for sheer/light coverage. I’ve noticed that it will crease or gather if I use too much product, so this is pretty much only for minimal makeup days.
⏰WEAR - In terms of brightening, I don’t notice too much of a difference. This covers up my dark circles a tad and lasts all day, as long as I don’t use too much.
👍THOUGHTS - This is a pretty nice concealer for minimal makeup days. It’s not quite a dupe of YSL Touch Eclat, but it’s not bad to have around for a quick cover-up. I’ve noticed myself reaching for it most days in the past month.
Available for $10.99 at Ulta or $8.99 at Target
