BLUE BLOOD - The Ultimate Blue Eye Shadow Palette

Jeffree Star BLUE BLOOD Eyeshdow Palette

πŸ€‘ Price Point: Mid High $52, BUT WORTH IT
In midst of Frozen 2, I've been wanting to add a cool color palette to my collection. I have a lot of palettes with browns, reds, blacks, silvers but no blues. After a deepdive on the web, I decided with the BLUE BLOOD palette by Jeffree Star.
🎁Packaging is a statement. It's a fairly bulky size, so the only downside is that is not great for travel/trips. But if you are just adding another palette to your makeup counter, than i don't think its too big of an issue. The palette thickness can be compared to a short novel.
🎨Colors: 18 colors total, good variety of blues, while including a few neutrals. My go to shades are Blue Monday, Cullinan, Blue Blood, and I'm Cold. Color are pretty pigmented so application is faily easy. I tend to use the above colors together for any metallic icy blue makeup look. I've actually used this palette for rave makeup purposes in the past and attached the photo above. It's a good palette to have if you're an aspiring makeup artist or just like to do art on your face!
βœ… Protip: I use Cullinan (white shimmer shade) as highlighter sometimes for my cheekbones/nosebridge/brows It adds a nice dewy glow
😍 Overall, I think the color selection and blendability is great. The size of the palette is on the larger side and price point is not cheap, but I think it's worth it! I look at it as an art palette. 4/5 would recommend!

This is such a wonderful review and a beAutiful pallet. I just admit blue is a gutsy color to play with but it looks amazing on. I would definitely do a Smokey eye with it but really pop the inside doing a cut crease of the purple or another different yet accentuating color

omg girl you look gorgeous! And i absolutely love and adore that pallet! And im glad to hear that it blends pretty well it looks really pigmented but you are right thats a bit steep! my most dramatic eye was actually for a cosplay i did i have green eyeliner and green mascara all in all it was a lovely success but ive never before tried anything like that before.

This palette is so pretty. Loving all the different blue shades. I think I'd definitely use this palette to create a full face winter scene just because of have so many blues to work with!

  • Dulce Plascencia

Beautiful look! I am always scared to use blues, but it looks beautiful!

  • Rhonda Parker

I would go for a much more dramatic eye with these wonderfully deep and moody shadows! I would take full advantage of that rich, darkest blue, and incorporate that lively light lime green/blue in the inner corners.

This palette looks great but some blues look terrible on me and this seems to be a bit pricey for my pocketbook.

I have wanted to try this pallet but in my position right now it isn't possible. I like the colors and the possibilities with it

This Blue Blood pallet is one I would love to try! The color combos are endless. I would definitely go with a bold color scheme, probably using a Smokey eye or even a cat eye. The possibilities with this pallet are phenomenal. Thanks for the tip about the Cullinan shade. Great review!

Wow! This palette has a beautiful blue color story, the most perfect blue shades, and some amazing light base colors, I have to admit that I don't do much blue on the eyes, but this palette has some amazing shades to create a really decadent blue smokey eye look, I would p use the darkest blue at the very end to create sort of like a cat eye, and apply the lighter royal blue shade that has a hint of purple more towards the middle, with a hint of that amazing turquoise and blend like crazy, and illuminate the inside with a lighter color to open the eyes, also the lightest shade right below the eyebrow, I would also blend a medium blue shade, and one of those wonderful greens to underline half the eye instead of using an eye pencil, so many possibilities, I really need this in my life πŸ’™ Great review!

    Love this ❀

  • Cait Burrie

I love this! I would create something with the grays and tan colors! With a pop of one of the blues in there to bring out my baby blues! πŸ‘πŸ‘€πŸ‘

These shades of blue are cool but I don't look good in blue as I have an olive complexion.

  • katherine wu

This palette looks so cool! I would use the sparkly light blue color in the middle and the second shade on the top to create a bold cat eye look. I love how these are all blue shades, I don't have a lot of blue eyeshadow either!

  • Neva Mann

Awesome applications, love everything you did! I've never considered using a blue myself as it had always reminded me of late 70's/ early 80's; you have me totally wanting to try blue now!!

  • Tori Renee

I just got mine in the mail can not wait to use it.

  • Sary

I just realized that I don't really have many blues either! I love the looks you did and this palette screams to be used in some kind of water fairy look.

  • Hallie

I love seeing the looks others create, but bold is not for me.

  • Lori Odaniel

I don't own any jeffree star but he has a mind and uses it to make these awesome palettes when you first look at them its like what am I going to do with this trust me if you are into make up you will magically come up with your look and it will be gorgeous thanks for sharing like I said I don't have any jeffree star things I would love to own some.

    Great post! Super informative

Even though there was no video, you didn't a great job explaining this palette. I too have a lack of blues in my eyeshadow collection, but mostly because I'm too scared to use them. The lighter 2 mint shades are calling my name though. Most likely I'd use neutral shades in my crease and do a cut crease with the shimmer/sparkle mint shade (bottom row, 3rd to the right).

  • MICHELLE weaver

No, it's not cheap but it's so beautiful and because it is so big and bulky hopefully it will last long enough to make up for the price tag.
