An ATTEMPT to Restart ⏰ My Skin | Drunk Elephant Before and After!

I used to be the kind of person who was blessed with flawless and low-maintenance skin. Other than a few hormonal spots around the time of the month, my skin usually never broke out. Lately, my skin has been somewhat of a struggle. I’ve been having acne along my hairline and on my cheeks. After months of struggle, I’ve decided to take matters into my own hands.
I was blessed with this birthday pack from Sephora which contains two SUPER HYPE Drunk Elephant products: Jelly Cleanser and Protini Polypeptide Cream. I think that these products will help me get to healthier, more perfect skin!

⭐🤑Jelly Cleanser $32.00 5 oz. (Full Size)
What it is: An innovative jelly cleanser that removes all traces of makeup, excess oil, pollution, and any other grime from the day. For all skin types.
Why I think this product will work: Not only does it claim to remove makeup without leaving residue, it’s also set at a low pH level (5.5). Having a more balanced pH might give me an additional boost to healing my skin.
⭐🤑Protini Polypeptide Moisturizer $68 1.69 oz. (Full Size)
What it is: A protein moisturizer that improves the appearance of skin’s tone, texture, and firmness. For all skin types.
Why I think this product will work: It will provide beneficial ingredients (amino acids, peptides, and growth factors) that will strengthen my skin. This also has a lower pH (4) for balance. I have extra expectations for this product cuz this shit’s expensive.
⚠️Disclaimer: Neither of these products are directly acne-fighting but I hope that they will give my skin beneficial nutrients and balance, which will concurrently make my acne go away. The focus is CLEAN and BALANCED skin.

Every morning and night I….
✅Use a simple bar soap or makeup remover to clean off as much makeup as I can (nighttime only)
✅ Use a dime-to-quarter-sized amount of the Jelly Cleanser and massage it into my skin to thoroughly cleanse my face.
✅Apply essence.
✅Take a swipe of the Protini Cream and moisturize my face.

I’ve used these products everyday for the past four weeks. Here are my thoughts:

The Jelly Cleanser removes makeup very well, but requires a lot of volume. I find myself using almost a quarter size amount to get a really good lather.
The cream has a nice thick consistency, and moisturizes my skin really well. The consistency is perfect for using both in the day and at night.

👍 The spots on my cheek are mostly gone (except for one that formed yesterday) and my forehead cleared up slightly. I don’t think the products contributed significantly to the acne clearing, but I think that overall it has improved the health and texture of my skin.

🌟Tip: I think that the cream is a much better investment than the cleanser. The cleanser is easily replaceable by other products on the market that are also more affordable.

What did you think of these two products? Do you think other Drunk Elephant products work better?
