They have an app that you have to connect to (WIFI 2.4GHz only or Bluetooth) I had a very smooth set up process (one go). You can set up a feeding schedule and select a feeding amount. The removable stainless steel bowl can easily be washed and prevents cats from getting acne. I am a big fan of the modern and minimalistic look and sturdy feel of the product.
