With so many South Asian festivals having just passed (Ganesh Chaturthi, Rakhi, Eid, etc..) and several coming up soon (Diwali, Navratri, etc..), I wanted to share some makeup inspo! Ready?
❤️ Since most South Asian outfits have hints of red in them, and also, our accessories tend to have a lot of 🏅 gold shimmer and shine, I knew I had to work both those angles into the makeup. 💄
🥻 Even the emoji is red and gold!
👀 I've also shown a few examples of these common themes in practice that you'll see on the last slide. 👀
👄 A bold, red lip was the need of the hour, along with gold in the inner corners of the eyes! ✨
My outfit has a "pop" of turquoise so, between that and the print, I wanted to keep the eye look fairly neutral.
I stuck with a light eyeshadow but pumped up the drama with a big bold wing for my eyeliner. I love how it looks with my outfit and accessories. Not too much to overpower but just enough to keep up 😉
The vibrant tomato red in YSL's #13 felt like the perfect complement to fit seamlessly with the rest of the look.
To me, this look is fresh, cohesive, and energizing.
All of the women in the last slide are absolutely glowing in totally different variations on the red & gold combo - the directions you can take this are honestly endless!
