Today I’m testing out a blush by a brand I have never tried before, and I am so excited to share my experience with you!
We are testing out the Lorac Color Source Buildable Blush in the shade “Cinematic”.
These blushes come in 9 different shades so there’s a perfect shade for everyone! These blushes are available in matte and satin finishes. This blush claims to be buildable. Wear sheer for a natural finish or build it up for a bolder look.
These blushes are also infused with pomegranate, açaí berry, and vitamins A, C and E to help nourish and protect your skin.
My shade Cinematic is a matte plum brown. This would be a great shade for fall!
Immediately upon first swatch I notice this blush is super pigmented, which honestly a little intimidating to me considering this is supposed to be buildable. The swatch also blended out very nicely.
When applying to my face I noticed this blush in fact, isn’t really all that buildable. The first layer is with me going in with an extremely light hand. Literally only lightly tapping my brush into the powder. And I thought to apply this way first because the first swatch scared me lol. The second layer I did the same thing and think it was actually slightly too much color.
This blush sells for $23 and while this blush does last an entire day on your cheeks, I don’t think I would repurchase because it isn’t buildable. I mean buildable is literally in its name and it’s the complete opposite! I like blushes where I’m in full control of how the color turns out. I don’t like having to watch my hand in applying my blush.
