🥰Hi PrismPoppers! I know I am not the only one who is a furparent here. Did you know that in the United States, 25.4% of households own a cat. If you're part of that percentage, this article is for you.
✨If you're anything like me, you love your pet and want to provide the best for them. One of the things I've changed to keep my cat healthy is his water bowl.
❣️Before I was just using a standard bowl, but then I found a pet water fountain. It's been a real game-changer. Continue reading to find out my true thoughts about pet care and the best water fountain.
💕About Mospro Pet Water Fountain💕
🐱 The carbon filters that are included in this set are great for catching hair and debris. It ensures that your pet is drinking clean fresh water.
🐕 This product is great for dogs, cats, and even birds. It has low power consumption and it's not noisy, so if you work from home you don't have to worry about it distracting you.
🦜 This device is perfect if you don't work from home. If you're rushing out the door, you may not have time to refill their bowl, but if you have the pet fountain, you don't have to. If you work odd hours, you don't have to stress about your pet running out of water while you're gone.
💦 It helps decrease spills and reduces the amount of water that gets on the floor, which is an added bonus. There's an attachment that the water flows out of that can be removed if your pet doesn't like it.
💟How to It Set Up💟
Setting this cat water fountain up is much easier than it looks. It comes with everything you need. I liked that it comes with detailed instructions that were easy to read.
Step 1: Take all the parts out of the box and lay them out
Step 2: Attach the pump to the water container on the bottom
Step 3: Slide the filter into the lid
Step 4: Fill up with water and plug it in
💫Deciding Factors💫
Before I commit to keeping an item, I use a few factors to help me determine if it's worth the money. There are several pet water fountains on the market and I used the below elements to decide if the Mospro pet water fountain is the best one for my cats.
💸Retail Price
The price is one of the first things I look at. I want to be sure I'm getting a good deal and not wasting my money. I'm willing to pay for better quality; however, I don't want to spend a ton. 😎
The Mospro pet water fountain is priced at $30 at Walmart. Once I got it set up and working, I was surprised that it wasn't any more expensive. It comes with two filters, but after you've used those, you'll have to buy new ones for $2 or $3 apiece.
💐Materials Used
Something else I like to look at is the material it's made out of. The pet water fountain consists of safe food-grade resin material. It's BPA-free, which is key.
If you find pet products that aren't BPA-free, don't purchase them. They could have materials and chemicals that can be harmful to your furry friends. 😁
It comes with a matching silicone mat that I set underneath the fountain. Overall, I would have preferred it not to be made of so much plastic material, but I like it.
📏Capacity/ Dimensions
The water basin can hold eight cups or 64 ounces, which lasts my cat a few days. It's 7 x 7 x 5 inches and almost two pounds.
I've found it's the perfect size for my cat and it fits in most areas. The square shape and minimal design allow it to blend into any room I put it in. I was worried it was going to become an eyesore, but it isn't.
I bought it for my cat when he was still a kitten and he was able to drink water from it even though he was small. I wasn't sure if he was going to be able to use it right away. 👍
❣️Quality
I was really pleased with the overall quality of this product. I've had it for six months now, and it's still working the same as the day I got it. It has three flow options which I didn't find with many others. 👏
✨Efficiency
The last factor that I consider is how efficient it is. The cat water fountain runs all day and night and I haven't had any issues with it. The water flows at a consistent rate and my cat loves it. 🙂
When I had a regular bowl of water out, I found myself dumping it and refilling it a couple of times a day. With the fountain, the water is cycling through all the time, so the water is stagnant.

🏆Comparable Brands🏆
There are a few different brands that also have pet water fountains so I decided to try them and review them so you can have a comparison. Below are three popular water fountains for pets that are on the market.
🌼Zeus H2EAU Drinking Fountain
🥳 This product is slightly bigger than the Mospro pet water fountain. It was great for my cat once he got older. If you have a bigger dog, this is going to be a better size.
🥳 It holds 200 ounces and it has a 46-inch power cord. It's so easy to clean and the setup was very similar to the Mospro fountain. The price is $19.29, on Amazon, which means quick shipping and easy returns.
😟 The water flow wasn't as strong as I would have liked. It also didn't come with a fountain attachment, which I think would've helped with the water pressure.
😟 It didn't last as long as I would have expected, either. It broke after only a few months of using it.
🌻Pioneer Pet Raindrop Drinking Fountain
🥳 This is a stainless steel set, which I liked better than some of the plastic ones. It also has charcoal filters that help keep the water clean.
🥳 The setup was fairly easy, there were a few extra parts, but it didn't take long to get it working. It's the first one that I found that is dishwasher-safe. I like the sleek look as well.
😟 It's a little more expensive than Mospro. It costs about $44 and you can find it on Amazon.
😟 It doesn't hold as much water, and I find that it runs out fairly quickly. I wouldn't leave this one running if I were going out of town for the night.
🌷Catit Flower Fountain
🥳 I really liked this fountain. It holds 100 ounces of water and it's the perfect height for my cat.
🥳 It's $27.99 and you can get it on their website. It's made specifically for cats, so if you have a dog, you may want to choose a different brand.
😟 The pump slowly stopped working after a while. There are replacement parts available on their website.
💐Final Conclusion: Pet Water Fountain Review💐
I have really enjoyed having the Mospro for several reasons. I have peace of mind knowing my cat is drinking clean water. It's easy to set up and clean, and I don't ever have to worry about my kitty running out of water while I'm gone.
🥰Why Trust Me🥰
I've had a cat all my life. My parents had one when I was growing up and when I moved out, I adopted one of my own.
This pet water fountain was a game changer. I noticed right away my kitten started drinking more water and he was even putting his paws in the water.
I purchased one for my parents as well, and their cat also likes it. Now that I found this product, I don't see myself ever going back to a regular bowl.
This post isn't sponsored and I don't receive a commission for reviewing this cat product. I've loved watching my cat enjoy the water flow and wanted to tell you all about it. If you've tried this item or one similar, let me know in the comments, because I would love to hear about your experience with it.
