if you’re someone who isn’t a huge fan of the processed patties that are out there on the market, here is a great way to make your own. This version of an Indian burger is made using left over pav bhaji.
Pav Bhaji is a mixture of potatoes and various other vegetables along with Indian spices. It’s all mash together, and makes for yummy dish to enjoy with bread.
For this burger, you’ll need:
- medium burger buns
- clarified butter
- pav bhaji mixture (potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions, salt, garlic, turmeric, red chili powder, curry powder, coriander, and any other veggies you’d like to mash)
- imli/date chutney (available at some markets & amazon)
- sev (available on amazon)
- grill/press of some sort
I love adding my cultural flair to traditional American dishes because the Indian traditional spices have so many health benefits. Especially turmeric!
