Exercise is good for the mind, body, and soul. What is even more important is that you exercise safely! The problem with traditional headphones is that they completely block out the noise around you. This can leave you vulnerable to traffic or other people around you. SHOKZ helped solve this problem with their Open Run Bone Conduction Headphones. I tested them out and am here to give you the run down.
First, some commonly asked questions ⁉️
Q: What are bone conduction headphones?
A: The headphones send vibrations into your inner ear thru bone conduction technology. SHOKZ utilizes LeakSlayer technology to minimize sound leakage while still being able to hear your surroundings.
Q:Can others hear your music while exercising?
A: Nope! Because the headphones send vibrations to your inner ear, no one around you can hear what you’re listening to.
Q: Are they water proof?
A:It has an IP55 water-resistant rating meaning it is resistant to moderate sweat, rain, and dust exposure .

Final thoughts 🤷🏼♀️
I was skeptical about these at first. I mean how can the sound quality be the same as in ear headphones? I am a very loud breather when I run and I HATE hearing myself breathe during my runs. However, when I put these on, I could barely feel they were there and the sound quality is AMAZING. I could hear the environment around me but could not hear my breathing. These are such a safer way to listen to your music when exercising. Highly recommended!!
