I got this hand cream a while ago and have been keeping it in my errands bag. After using it a for awhile I have my final thoughts on this impulse buy.
Packaging
Glossier’s packaging design is impeccable. But I see a few pros and cons behind this eye-candy design
👍Pros
- Classic Glossier pink, adorable 🌸
- Feels sturdy in hand
- Unique cap and squeeze design
- Very hard to leak in a bag
👎Cons
- Not as space-efficient as aluminum tube hand creams
- You can’t tell how much is left
- Not refillable (but you know I will try when the time comes)
Experience
👃Scent - Smells just like the Glossier You perfume, heavy on warm, creamy base notes (musk, ambrette, and ambrox). Love love love.
🤚Texture - light and non-greasy, lighter than my Burt’s bees and Palmer’s hand cream.
🧐Usage - A pea size is enough for one hand, blends easily and is absorbed faster than my other hand creams.
Moisturizing Power
The before and after pictures were taken about 20 minutes apart. Which means that the hand cream provides more than instant moisturizing benefits. I have had hand creams dry up and my cuticles look the same….but this one works and keeps my hands feeling moisturized.
Is it worth it?
I really like it and I love the experience of using it! But I will not be repurchasing this hand cream for the following reasons:
🌎Not the most environmentally friendly (for $18 I think it should be reused and Glossier should offer a refill kit)
💸Not a great deal. For the amount of times I wash my hands every day (definitely 10+ times) this is not a budget-friendly option.
But do I feel really cool using this in public after I douse my hands in hand sanitizer? ABSOLUTELY.
