Hello hello lovely people! Do you ever have a palette that you can only come up with one color combination for? Well look no further, I’m here to help you get the most out of your palette!
I used the Lancome Color Design Palette in Sparkling Plums, but I don’t think it is on the market anymore :( so here are a couple semi-similar palettes that I found:
1. Morphe 35C
2. Makeup Revolution Maxi Reloaded Palette
3. Revolution xThe Emily Edit - The Wants Eyeshadow Palette
Disclaimer, this only works if your palette has a somewhat wide range of eyeshadows that can be combined. Versatile palettes should include some nude tones, some darker tones, and some highlight/lighter tones.
Basic Eyeshadow Placements:
Nude shades - Transition
Darker shades - Outer V
Highlight/Lighter - Eyelid
Note that the above placements are just a suggested format to help easily group your eyeshadows, but makeup can be whatever you want it to be so use these placements as strictly or loosely as you like :)
Look Names
Top Left: Light Nude
Top RIght: Medium Smoky
Middle Left: Warm Toned Smoky
Middle Right: Light Smoky
Bottom Left: Medium Nude
Bottom Right: Cool Toned Smoky
I’d say that all the nude combos are work-appropriate, and the smoky combos are great for a date or night out!
I’ve definitely been overwhelmed when looking at a palette trying to figure out which shades to pair up, so I hope that this color matching tutorial helps simplify eyeshadow combinations! Let me know what color combinations you like to use from this palette or from your own!
