I recently started a real skincare routine ( only took me my entire adult life 😅) and I went with The Ordinary products based on suggestions from some of my friends in the beauty community. They claim these products work great and are inexpensive! So I decided to give them a try.
I knew I wanted something for the fine lines starting to form on my forehead so I chose the Argireline Solution 10% because it was formulated for fine lines around the eyes and forehead.
I also have pretty dry skin, especially in the colder months, so I also chose their Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5. This one claims to enhance surface hydration, replenish most moisture, and provide enhanced barrier support.
Lastly, I needed a daily moisturizer. I’ve never found one in my entire life that I have loved. They are usually to heavy and end up making my skin feel oily and break out ( odd since my skin is dry right?!) or they smell bad. BUT The Ordinary delivered with their Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA. It claims to be non-greasy ( they didn’t lie!), replenish lost moisture, maintain healthy looking skin, as well as provide enhanced barrier support.
MY ROUTINE:
1. After washing my face, I mist my entire face with rose water (I like the Heritage Store brand you can get at Wholefoods).
2. I drop 2-3 drops of the Argireline Solution on my forehead and gently work it into my skin with my fingertips. I don’t have lines around my eyes yet, but with the extra solution on my finger tips I wipe the excess around my eyes.
3. Then I drop one drop of the Hyluronic Acid Solution into the palm of my hand and rub my hands together. This solution is a bit gooey so I find I need only one drop! I then pat my face with the solution and wipe any excess on my neck because I can’t tell if those lines are supposed to be there?😂
4. Finally I squeeze a pea size or a smidge more of the Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA into my hand and either apply it the same way as the Hyaluronic Acid solution or dab with my finger tip and apply directly to the areas on my face that need moisture.
