I have gone on quite a journey with my skin this year.
I had very textured, uneven skin. It was oily, prone to breakouts whenever it felt like it, & I had a bit of hyperpigmentation, too.
As you see in the photo... (the left is before my journey & the right is me today) my skin has made a major improvement. 👍
My skin is significantly clearer & smoother, & honestly, I am genuinely content with my skin today!
And it's all thanks to staying consistent on my current routine!
Some of the products I use today that I have had the most success with are:
1️⃣ EXFOLIANT
• AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay
I do this mask about once a week & always look forward to those days!
I literally feel the impurities being sucked out of my face. 🤭
After using the mask, my skin does get some slight redness to it, but that goes away within 5-10 minutes. ⏳
I can’t believe I ever survived before this mask. 😱
2️⃣ CLEANSERS
• The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution
I absolutely LOVE The Ordinary’s products. I had heard about them for a while & to be honest, they kind of intimidated me.
They all have weird, names I never heard of & that sounded like they should be used in science experiments 🧪 not on my face! Thankfully I gave in & tried so many of their products which I use every day, now!
This one, in particular, I use about 2 times a week at night.
I pair this toner with...
• PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator
Another AMAZING company that I first heard about in a YouTube commercial ad!
I can no longer survive without this stuff.
When I wake up the morning after using these two, my pores are basically nonexistent. Any blemishes I see that are starting to appear & even full-on pimples are also GONE after using the combo of PC & TO.
Definitely holy grail products right here. 🙌
Speaking of holy grail’s two more that I use interchangeably are...
3️⃣ K-BEAUTY
• I'm from - Rice Toner 🍚
• LANEIGE - Cream Skin Refiner 🍦
Omg guys! These toners are both from South Korea & they are GAME CHANGERS for brightening your skin! 🌟
They both have a very thin consistency & honestly look just like milk! 🥛
I splash them on my face after cleansing & my face literally thanks me! 🙏
The Laneige Toner has a bit more moisture 💦 to it, so on days I’m feeling a bit dryer I lean towards the Laneige, or else I’m usually using the I’m from Toner. 💕
3️⃣ SERUMS
Oh I have tried so, so many serums. Today I try & keep it simple though.
I use all these products from The Ordinary, in this order!
• The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
• The Ordinary - Buffet
• The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (not ALL mornings)
Love these serums!
Niacinamide Serum - sometimes I only use it at night, because it can be a little heavier and I don't want my skin to get sensitive out in the sun.
Those are my TOP products that have helped me!
(I will make another post that talks specifically about eye creams & cleansers because those were both a journey in themselves!)
I feel like the two most important parts of a good skincare routine are the cleansers because it’s the base that gets your skin ready for all of the others products & the eye creams because they care for the most fragile part of your face!
