Hello hello! Winter is approaching and you know what that means 🤭 dry and cold weather, the worst type of weather for my skin.
Here are the products that I use on a regular basis to help my skin combat the chilly weather:
❄️ Vaseline ❄️
I have had this product for so long, and it’s been very reliable. I usually swipe a little bit on my lips at night to keep them from being chapped in the morning. I also use this to remove eye makeup 👀 so this product can come in handy in many situations! There is also the original version without cocoa butter but I love the way the cocoa butter smells. You can also pick up this product at any drugstore so it’s super convenient.
❄️ Hada Labo Hyaluronic Acid Lotion ❄️
This product acts like a toner, and helps to prep my skin for more moisture. It definitely needs to be followed up by another hydrating product (such as lotion or hydro boost water gel) as it can’t stand alone. I have been using this product for a year or so and it helps my skin soak up more moisture than it can on it’s own.
❄️ Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel ❄️
After seeing this product everywhere, I finally decided to grab it at my local drugstore. It definitely helps to keep my skin hydrated at night, and it has a light watery texture so it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. It does have a pretty strong sweet fragrance though, so if you are sensitive to fragrances, I would be careful with this product.
❄️ Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask ❄️
I usually hate putting products on my lips because the skin around them can get easily irritated, but this product is very light and doesn’t make me feel itchy. The texture is not sticky and spreads easily. It does have a slight fragrance, but it does not irritate me. There is a slight pink tint to it, but it doesn’t stain or give my lips too much color. I use this product overnight and sometimes as a lip balm during the day
❄️ Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion ❄️
As you can probably tell by now, I have a lot of drugstore products. I have been using this lotion since high school, and it has helped my dry skin immensely. It’s thick enough to be moisturizing, but not too thick to pile up on my skin and make me itchy (a common problem for me). There is no fragrance at all, so this is perfect for sensitive skin!
❄️ Melano CC Vitamin C Brightening Essence ❄️
I haven’t been able to get much sun lately because of the weather (quarantine also did not help haha), so my skin has been a little dull-looking. This product has made my skin a little brighter and livelier looking. I only use a couple drops, and I only use it at night. It did make my skin a bit itchy when I first used it, but I have gotten used to it. The texture is a bit greasy, which is where part of the irritation came from.
I hope that this breakdown helps you find more products to add to your daily routines! If you also have dry and sensitive skin, let me know what products you use in the comments! 🥰
