Summer & Mask Friendly Hair IdeasIt’s no secret that my hair and I have a love/hate relationship, which is to be expected since I’ve put through a lot over the years. This summer I’m trying to work with it (not against it) and so far we are off to a good start. The 😷 component definitely plays a role. With the heat out and the masks on I try to achieve a look that’s both functional and fashionable. I don’t have any special hair skils, just trying to keep it easy and quick. These are some styles that fit the bill and anyone can do:
BUNS 🍬Hair Buns are a quick and easy way to style your hair, especially when it’s hot out. I was never able to master the perfect ballerina bun but in the process I found donuts (not 🍩). They are easy to use and come in a variety of sizes, colors and types. For a full bun, I take all of my hair and put it through the donut on top of my head. I weave the hair in and out to wrap it then make sure I’ve spread it enough to cover the material. Mini or half buns have been making a comeback lately. This is a great option for any hair length and looks cute too!
PIG & PONYTAILS🍬Ponytails/Pigtails are always a classic. They’re easy to do, get hair off your face and are 😷 friendly. Along those lines you’re never too old for pigtails! 🐷
CLIPPIES! 🍬Hair Clips - we all know how handy these bad boys are. From bad hair day savers to updo creations the possibilities are endless. I’ve been using pretty clips and cute boo y pins for style and to elevate my look. They work great to keep your mask in place and give your ears a break!
POP OF COLOR🍬 Another fun thing I’ve been experimenting with is temporary hair color. Sprays like Jerome Russell and L’Oreal Colorista and hair chalk from Got2b and Splat. Matching Masks and Headbands are another great way to keep cool and add some of your own style
