Hi fellow Prismpop besties! 💗
I don't know about you, but I feel like the body wash you use can make or break your shower. There are so many factors that weigh in to make a great body wash like fragrance, texture, lather, ingredients, and price. Today I am sharing my review of Method Body Wash! Let's jump in to the review below!
Did you know that about 51% of Americans shower every day? Whether you bathe once a day, two or three times a week, or once a week, you need to use the best body wash. ⭐
There are hundreds of brands out there, which makes choosing one difficult. The texture, ingredients, fragrance, price, and lather all weigh in and affect the quality of a body wash. I've tried Method Body Wash and a few others, so you can make an informed decision.
Read on for my Method Body Wash review! 😍
What Is Method Body Wash? 🔍
Method Body washes are different than any others, and the company as a whole strives to protect the planet and its customers. If you're anything like me, you want to make a difference, and you want to take care of your body too.
They have wind turbines, solar tracking trees, and a greenhouse that all help them reduce their carbon footprint. Their products are made from recycled material ranging from 25% to 85%. The bottles can also be recycled when you're finished with them. ♻️♲
Another reason I decided to try this brand is that they are cruelty-free; all their products are tested by people instead of animals. You can even take a tour of their factory in Chicago, which I'm excited to do in the future. The packaging is minimal and will look good on your bathroom shelves; you won't have to hide them under the sink when guests visit. 🏭🧑🏭
How I Review This Product 📝
Does it contain sulfate or paraben?
Is it cruelty-free?
Is it good for sensitive skin?
❤️Benefits - Does it hydrate, moisturize or lighten the skin?
❤️Value for money/Price
✨What's in the product is so important. I want to know that the product I'm using isn't going to irritate my skin or make me break out.
There are typically so many ingredients in products that it's hard to know which ones are good and bad. Sodium lauryl sulfate surfactant is derived from coconut and palm oils and is one of the cleaning agents. 🧼
- Coco-glucoside is included to soften the skin and is pulled from plant sources. A few other ingredients include:
- Citric acid
- Shea butter extract
- Ethylhexylglycerin preservative
🍓There are a number of different scents that everyone, including myself, loves. Berry Balance is one of their popular scents that smells like goji berries.🍓
If you're looking for something lighter, Wind Down is a great option. It's one of my favorites, and it has chamomile, starflower, and lavender in it. 🌊
Energy Boost is great if you shower in the mornings as it has ginger and orange zest, which helps wake you up. Daily Zen smells just like cucumbers and will make you feel as if you're in a spa. 🥒
Last but not least, Simply Nourish has rice milk and shea butter. I use this one at night to help me reset and rest. 🍚
✨There are a few reasons why I love Method soap. It doesn't make my skin feel clogged, and it's not hard to wash off.
✨The scents aren't overwhelming or overpowering, and there are some for everyone. If you and your partner or roommate like different scents, you can each get your own.
✨I often use it to shave, and I've never had any razor bumps or irritation. I don't like to walk out of the shower, only for my skin to be dried out from my body wash, which is why I love Method soaps as they are moisturizing. Another benefit of the brand is that it's affordable and can be found at many stores such as Walmart, Target, and Walgreens.
❌ I do run out of the body wash fairly quickly. If you don't shower every day, it will last longer. I typically buy two or three bottles at a time, so I'm always stocked up.
❌ While it is moisturizing, it's best used on normal skin. If you have overly dry skin, this may not be the best brand for you.
Similar Products 🏆
I've reviewed a few other brands below, so you don't have to. There are many products on the market, and trying all of them can be overwhelming and expensive.
You could test out numerous brands before you find the one you like. However, hopefully, the information below will make the process a little easier.
1. CeraVe Hydrating Body Wash ⭐
✅ CeraVe is a popular brand that I also use alongside my Method body wash. This product is fragrance-free, and I would use this wash on my face if I didn't have my normal face wash. I find this wash refreshing, and I always feel clean after using it.
❌ I will say it doesn't lather as well as Method but is better than others I've reviewed. I am going to give this wash 3.5 stars out of 5 only because of the price.
It's almost $12 for a 10-ounce bottle making it about $1.14 per ounce. You can purchase CeraVe products at many different locations, including Publix and Walmart.
2. Dove Sensitive Skin Body Wash⭐
It's not a secret that Dove is one of the largest soap companies out there. However, their liquid body wash is not my favorite.
❌ I'm not a big fan of the scents, and I find it hard to rinse off. It also doesn't lather as well as Method. One of the benefits is the price. It's $9.47 for a 34-fluid ounce, which comes out to about $0.27 per ounce, making it much for affordable.
✅ This body wash will be better for those who have sensitive skin. Overall, I would rate this product three stars out of five.
3. Native Lilac and White Tea Body Wash ⭐
✅ Native is another brand that has gained a lot of popularity recently. It is also a plant-based product and is cruelty-free. The Lilac and White Tea wash also smells fantastic.
❌ Compared to Method, the scent is a bit stronger but still not overwhelming. The price is $9 for an 18-ounce bottle, which is slightly more than Method, but if you buy in bulk, you can reduce the price.
The Native body wash comes in more scents, and there are also seasonal fragrances too. I would give this product four out of five stars.

Is It Worth The Money? ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
It's sold at many different stores, and the prices vary depending on where you purchase it at. At Target you can get one 18-ounce bottle for $7.99, which comes out to about $0.44 an ounce.
Not a bad price. If you go to Walgreens it is going to be a little more expensive at about $8.49 or $0.47 per ounce. After you try it once and fall in love with it, which I'm sure you will, you can buy it in bulk on Amazon. You can get six bottles for $45.54.
Why Trust Me 🥰
I was originally introduced to Method Body Wash by a friend, and once I tried it, I was hooked. I went out to the store and bought one of every scent so I could try them all.
I've also been known to gift some of their cleaning products as housewarming gifts. In the past, I've had issues with certain body washes, causing my skin to break out and become irritated. I haven't had a bad reaction to any of the scents or products from Method.
Common Questions 🤔
I had a few questions about the brand, but I purchased it, so I'm going to share the answers to a few of them.
❤️Is Method Body Wash for Sensitive Skin?
If you have sensitive skin, you may want to do a patch test. Use the wash on a small part of your body to see if it irritates or bothers your skin. I personally haven't had any issues.
❤️What Does Method Body Wash Smell Like?
There are many scents to choose from. There are light, airy scents, floral, citrus, and coconut fragrances.
❤️Is Method Body Good for Dry Skin?
The Method body wash doesn't dry out the skin. If your skin is on the drier side, you should purchase the body lotion as well. It will give your skin a little extra boost.
❤️Can You Use Method Body Wash On Your Face?
I do not use Method soap on my face. I prefer to use scentless products on my face as it's a bit more sensitive.
❤️What Is the Shelf Life?
I use my Method body soap pretty quickly, and I've never had a bottle last me more than two months. However, you can keep your soap for up to two years.
After that, it may not be as effective. If you haven't used your wash in a while and notice the smell has changed or it looks different, it's best to pour it out and get a new one.
❤️Final Thoughts: Method Body Wash ❤️
Method Body Wash is one of the best products I've used on my body, and I'm sure you're going to love it too! The affordability and scents will have you running to the store for more.
