Hey everyone! spooky season is happening and you know what that means...
It’s time for Halloween makeup looks! ๐ป ๐
This year, I’ve decided to recreate a look by a very talented makeup artist (@zoemexiamakeup on IG), which is a look inspired by the burn book from the movie, ‘Mean Girls’! I mainly used the Aurora Lights Palette from BH Cosmetics for the eyes and NYX’s White Liquid Liner and Elf’s Expert Liquid Liner for the details! It would be easier to use a pen tip liner instead of a brush tip :)
This look is very involved and has multiple parts to it! I tried to break them all down below:
๐ The Eyes ๐
1. Using a compact fluffy brush, apply ‘Magical’ in and slightly above your crease
2. With a denser and smaller brush, pat on ‘Fluorescent’ all over the eyelid and blend it into the previous shade ‘Magical’
3. Create a cut crease with concealer up until the outer v of the eyelid and underneath your crease with a flat concealer brush
4. Pat on ‘Ombre’ all over the concealer
5. Blend ‘Ombre’ into the outer v with ‘Magical’ using a small fluffy brush
6. Apply eyeliner and lashes (lashes not pictured)
๐ The Nose “Lips” and Forehead “Scribbles” ๐
Lips:
1. Start by drawing two mountain peaks on either side of the bridge of your nose and fill it in with red lipstick
2. Draw a u shaped blob below with a small gap in between, make sure to have the corners of the bottom lip be closer to the top lip and the middle dip of the bottom lip farther away
3. Using a small detail brush, feather out and blend the bottom of the upper lip and the bottom of the bottom lip
Forehead (this part will need to be mirrored!)
1. Using the black eyeliner, sketch any phrase from the official ‘Burn Book’ onto forehead as if you were drawing them backwards and mirrored. Write 3-4 words in random places.
2. Sketch pairs of two filled in circles next to each other in random spots on forehead
3. Sketch empty and filled in triangles in random spots
4. Sketch zig zags and lines in random spots
5. Sketch grid or square spiral in random spots
๐ The “Burn Book” letters ๐ (also will need to be drawn backwards and mirrored!)
1. Start off by drawing a white square close to your nose on your right cheek and a black square on the other side with the liquid eyeliners
2. Draw 3 black squares to the left of the white square and 3 white squares to the right of the black square
3. Fill in the corresponding letters (mirrored and backwards)
I hope you all liked this look! This idea was not mine and I give all credit to the lovely @zoemexiamakeup (check her ig out if you haven’t yet!) It took me a while to recreate so if you have a couple hours of free time, this would be a fun look to try out! Let me know what fun and spooky looks you are doing for Halloween! ๐ ๐ป
