✨I am sooo excited to share with you this nail polish brand, Cirque Colors, a New York-based beauty brand specializing in handmade nail polish. Their polishes are safe, non- toxic and vegan and they have over seventy (70) different shades to choose from!💅
💅💕I purchased three shades of their Thermal Polish line, which are color- changing polishes depending on the temperature of the environment which is in contact with the nail. So how did it go??🧐
1. Rothko Red💅
Oxblood Red Thermal Nail Polish - Cirque Colors Rothko Red
- changes to dark oxblood red when cold and bright crimson red when warm.
🧐My Experience:
- the first layer of application was smooth and seamless
- Consistency is thin but surprisingly opaque!
- Second layer went smoothly too but I noticed that it dries easily so the first layer was disturbed a bit
2. Terra💅
Purple Blue Shimmer Thermal Nail Polish - Cirque Colors Terra
✨- Changes to purple when cold and light blue when warm. If features strong copper shimmer and delicate holographic sparkle.
🧐My Experience:
- First layer of application was smooth and seamless
- Second layer was also smooth and easy to spread
- Consistency is more sheer but the shimmer didn’t interfere with the application💕
3. Luna💅
Luna ✨- changes to violet when cold and turquoise when warm. It features teal green shimmer and delicate holographic sparkle.
🧐My Experience:
- Has Thicker consistency for the first layer
- More sensitive to temperature because of obvious color change during application
- Second layer is harder to spread because first layer keeps getting disturbed😞
💅✨COLOR TEST:
😊I was excited to dip my hands in ice cold water to see the color shift that I forgot to wait for the sufficient time for completely drying my nails! Thus the chipped part in some areas. But relatively, they dry fast.💕
🧐I noticed that Terra and Rothko Red didn’t change drastically after dipping my nails in cold water. But Luna was quite a show with its color shift from turquoise to violet!😍💕✨
💅✨May I also share that the polishes also held up well after a week of wear. There was no chipping even with no topcoat!😍
💅Removal was a little hard because it wasn’t budging even if i rubbed it with nail polish remover. What worked for me was to saturate each nail for a minute with a cotton pad soaked with the polish remover. 😞
💅✨Overall, I would rate Rothko Red and Terra 3/5 just because of the minimal color shift. The longevity and application were quite impressive though! 😊
✨💅But for Luna, it would be 4/5 because I love the change of color and its sensitivity to temperature. However, I took away a point because of the difficulty of layering it.😞
