❄️ Hey Prismpoppers! It’s almost November which means the weather is transitioning, it’s getting colder every morning and if you’re somewhere that gets super cold like me, you’ll definitely need what I think is one of my most essential accessories: leg warmers! Leg warmers can be worn with pretty much everything. I’ll wear it as a piece to show off or just to hide under a long skirt. I have three different leg warmers with me and outfits that can maybe inspire you to do something similar! Of course, I’ll try to link or find the closest fit to every item that I style. My measurements are 28/23/30.5 for reference and I am 156cm tall.
🍥 I got all of these leg warmers through Amazon. They did take a while to ship though, they estimated about 2 weeks to ship and longer if they were the cheaper ones. The only ones I found that shipped quickly were over $15, and I didn’t mind waiting longer if I could pay less. Unfortunately, I’m not sure what happened and my package got delayed. Either way, I can’t blame the seller for shipping delays because things happen! I understand this as a seller myself. While I was shopping for leg warmers on Amazon, I had a few things in mind I had to consider before buying. I really kept in mind prices, especially because I didn’t want to spend too much on leg warmers not knowing if I’d use them consistently or not. I also wanted the leg warmer to have a good fit, be warm for autumn and winter, have great quality for price, and look great on top of that. I really liked the look of knitted and fluffy looking leg warmers, so I got three of them in different designs.
❄️ Outfit 1 - Long skirt with a cardigan
I styled this outfit with a long skirt in mind. I wanted to make three outfits with three different bottoms, so this long skirt was paired with the most simple knitted leg warmers with no special design. These leg warmers went about halfway up from the foot, it didn’t reach my knees. They’re made from high quality acrylic. I styled this with Ruffled Tiered High Waist Lolita Skirt and Lace-Trim Peter Pan Collar Long-Sleeve Shirt . The leg warmers used here - White Short Japanese Style Leg Warmers
✅ Pros of the leg warmer
- Stretchy, breathable fabric. The material is super comfortable and doesn’t scratch my skin.
- Super cheap and affordable.
- Fits great, doesn’t slip down and the stretchy material conforms to fit my leg.
❌ Cons of the leg warmer
- A little too basic for my liking! I’m not a big fan of the plain, solid straight up and down design.
🍥 Outfit 2 - short, fluffy skirt with a cloak
I was so dead set on having a look with a miniskirt and a fuzzy rabbit cloak! This super cute leg warmer has a bow design with pom poms coming off of the bow. These also reached halfway up to the knee from my ankle, and does not touch my knee. I styled these leg warmers with Bunny Ears Hooded Lolita Plush Cape and a fluffy little skirt Sweet Lolita SK Lace Ruffle Two Tone Pleated White Lolita Skirt . ❌ Cons of the leg warmer
- They’re a bit thin and doesn’t keep me as warm as the other leg warmers!
❄️ Outfit 3 - Pants and a blouse
I know some people want to wear their leg warmers with pants and not just a skirt. These White Ball Short Cable Knit Japanese Style Leg Warmers also look great under some thick pink denim jeans. I styled it with a fancy and frilly lolita blouse, untucked for a more undefined look. Sweetheart Bunny Short Sleeve Lolita Shirt White The pink denim jeans are so cute - Peach embroidered jeans
✅ Pros of the leg warmer
- These are thicker than the previous two and have a super cute cable knit design.
- The pom poms are adorable!
- Very versatile and goes under pants easily, you can’t even tell you have leg warmers on until you lift the pant leg.
- Affordable and cheap. Only $10!
❌ Cons of the leg warmer
- I had no issues about this leg warmer.
🍥 Would I recommend these leg warmers?
All three of them, yes. I’m sure everyone can find their preferred style of leg warmer from this one Amazon listing. They have about 44 styles and they’re all one size, but the material is so stretchy and comfortable. I absolutely loved the kawaii harajuku styled leg warmers!
❄️ Q&A
- Are leg warmers out of style?
Not anymore! Leg warmers are coming back with the resurgence of 90’s and Y2K Fashion. Not only have they already made their viral debut on TikTok, but celebs are wearing them, and the runways are crawling with the trend.
- What is the point of leg warmers?
Leg warmers are worn to keep the lower legs warm in colder weather. They can be tubular sleeves, long fabric wrappings, or simple pieces of fur or fabric tied around the calves.
- Do you wear socks with leg warmers?
It’s up to the wearer, but typically socks are worn under the leg warmer for comfort and it’s easier to put on and take off.
