Hi beauties!! ✨🌿🌸
Here we are with Part 2 of our review on La Mer The Lip Balm, the most luxurious lip balm we’ve ever tried! 💕
If you are wondering if a $75 lip balm really make a difference, we were having the same doubts just a couple of days ago when we first started our testing. That’s why we really appreciate the variety of products we could redeem on Prismpop, as no way we would have spent that much in cash on a lip balm. ❤️ Thanks, Prosmpop! ✨
Alright, this post focus a little more on the ingredients (especially the “miracle broth”, see the last picture that we quoted from the La Mer website) and how it feels under the Clarins lip comfort oil that I currently wear almost everyday. For introduction and what we love about it, see part 1 of this post! 🙌✨
When we realized that this lip balm is truly hydrating and outperformed other lip balms we have used so far, we did some research and read about the “miracle broth” which is a signature ingredient of their famous facial cream too. Previously I received a sample of the cream, but I haven’t tried it (I’ll try looking for it…😅) so I can’t compare them yet. But if it is the main reason why this lip balm is so hydrating without feeling greasy, we suspect it’s this fermented kelp making a difference. Besides La Mer, we see lots of high end brands using kelp and other seaweeds in skincare products, and we wouldn’t be too surprised if it is the key ingredient that rejuvenates our lips.
Since it seems to be a business secret, no way we would be able to see what exactly it is, but how La Mer and Estée Lauder used it as marketing technique to lure the customers seems to be another interesting topic to explore. 😍
During the day, I’ve been wearing the lip balm underneath my current lip oil by Clarins, and this combination really helps me in combating the dry air in my apartment with AC on most of the time. 🌿
My lips also feel more hydrated and look more plumped than just a few days ago. It’s noticeable enough on both my bf and myself, and we both are amazed by the result so far.
Would we be purchasing it in the future? That’s a great question that we asked ourselves too. Our conclusion is that we would def love to, but not when we are still in grad school 🤣 (we certainly won’t be able to afford it without a full time job!). The great thing is, this tin of lip balm very likely would last until we graduate from our programs, so it would perhaps help in motivating us to find descent jobs 🙌🙌
If we do end up writing a part 3 of this post, which talks more about the company behind this lip balm, we’ll also report back to you how it is after 3-4 weeks of use! So stay tuned! ✨😍💕 #beautypop #luxury #LaMer #beautyfinds #testerpop
