Kbeauty isn’t just about skincare— there are so many lovely brands that produce beautiful makeup! But, these products are typically seen on fair-skinned people, so are they really Brown Girl Friendly?
Here I test 3 different Korean lip products for you:
1. 3CE Multipot in Cabbage Rose ($22)
2. Peripera Ink Velvet Tint in No. 15 (~$9)
3. Peripera Ink Airy Velvet Tint in No. 01 (~$9)
All pics were taken in indoor, natural lighting.
The verdict is that 3CE’s Cabbage Rose is definitely the most Brown Girl Friendly of the 3. It is more muted and soft, and not too bright (which was an issue I had with the Peripera tints). Bonus is since it is a multipot, you can use it on your cheeks and eyes as well! I would definitely check out the other shades they have on StyleNada!
As for the Peripera tints, they feel amazing, but are just too bright. They would do very well on fair-skinned people, but did not work well for me. However, these are very strong tints, so the color stains the lips and the stain lasts for a couple days! I find the stain color better and more Brown Girl Friendly than the actual tint straight from the bottle, but honestly, it’s worth getting one of these just to feel the unique velvet finish on the lips!
If you’re a fellow POC and have had luck with any more Korean lip colors, do share and let me know! I am still on the hunt :)
