My new subscription box, Deck of Scarlet, #14
Upon beginning your subscription with Deck of Scarlet, you get your first pick of which set of products you wish to try first. After that, they give you a preview of your next set and allow you to skip if you don't want it.
Today, I'm going over the set I picked as my first palette, Deck #14. My honest reason in picking this palette was the most amount of blues that I liked. If you want me to like your palette, give me a good blue ;)
This is my first attempt at creating a look from them, and it was fun! I enjoyed the bit of color variety, but the color story that went with it. This one was a beachy look. I used Sand Castle (see pic) on my lid, with Siren on my crease, and a couple dabs of Seashell to top it off. I also included Atlantis on my undereye, and Sea Glow as a highlighter and Solar as a bronzer (let me know how I did). They even had a light maroon gloss, which I used.
While the colors look greatly pigmented in the pan, I was rather upset at how hard it was to bring it all to my face. The matte went on fine, but the shimmers seem to have a lot of fallout and don't seem to stay on as well (as you may notice from my pics). I can't even see my highlighter in the pictures, even though it was so apparent when I put it on!
I will continue to try more looks with this and hopefully find a better way to apply them! I also liked the look of the gloss, but it's not a color for me XD
I'd give the palette a 3/5.
