I was looking for some new, hot, and sparkly gel nail polishes at the store until I saw the price tags... upwards of $20 for one bottle
! How could I achieve the same gel look and longevity with a regular $5 bottle?
Steps:
1) Apply base coat (gel or regular)
2) Apply your fav polish! Make sure to let COMPLETELY dry in between layers. Otherwise your nails will be more likely to scratch when grabbing things and feel “squishy” after the top coat is applied.
I used Sally Hanson Insta-Dri in the shade 025 Cosmic Blue
3)Apply *gel* topcoat! You can find gel topcoats at most drugstores and online for a few dollars. Only buying one bottle of top coat saves you 💰compared to specific gel nail polishes.
4) Place nails under UV/LED lamp for however long you desire. Once you pull them out you’ll see that gorgeous shade you chose under a glossy (or matte) top coat
Not only do you get the gel look but your regular nail polish will last up to 2 weeks without chipping 😍😍.
