I've been using standard cotton rounds for as long as I have practiced skincare (we arn't going to talk about how long that's been, but for my ego's sake, lets just say it's been a year or two π) I never put much thought into it, I just picked up whichever cotton pads were available and convenient.
Little did I know, I was missing OUT π€―
I recently had a chance to try the Varuza I'm Real Natural Cotton Pads, and PrismPop fam, this is a legit β game-changer β
These pads are three layers of unbleached cotton βοΈ (they have natural soft white color variation, and little speckles of brown--its so pretty!) The layers can be separated, and they have an incredibly soft texture. π
I was concerned about product absorption because the texture is so soft, however, these seem to retain and dispense products more efficiently than my previous cotton rounds. I've noticed I need to use less product to get the same amount applied to my face. With as much as quality skin care products cost, less waste is a fantastic benefit! β»οΈ
Since these pads can be separated out into three thin layers, they also work great for making your own intensive treatment packs, or sheet masks. I separate out the pad, soak it in my oil, serum, toner, or essence (sometimes a combination!) and apply it to the area that needs more intensive treatment. This also works great to make a custom sheet mask π just continue the process of making treatment packs and apply all over the face. It's great having the ability to quickly make a customized face mask with products I already know and love! π
While these cotton pads are more expensive than the ones I previously used, it's a luxurious switch that I plan to maintain.

With all the pro's, it was an easy choice. In addition to less product waste, I've noticed I also go through them less quickly since often times one layer is enough to fill my need. π
These have proven to be a fantastic addition to my skincare routine, and in my opinion well worth the initial investment.
