Since the panny started, there’s nothing I wanted to do more than trek to Ktown and eat KBBQ with my friends! 😩 Adjusting to this new normal, I created a checklist of my must-buys when I go to Hmart (or any Asian market)! 🍖
1. KIMCHI
- all kinds! i love the cabbage one, the cucumber version, bean sprouts, radish, etc. Get a big jar of your favorite fermented veggies. You can also enjoy it to upgrade your weekday lunches.
2. MEATS
- duh?! what’s barbecue without the meats! I prefer the thinly sliced meats because they’re faster and easier to cook. You can even make your own galbi with them. For this dinner, I got brisket, pork belly, and more beef cuts! Highly recommend marinated chicken and squid as well!
3. DIPPING SAUCE
- i’m usually good with the extra sesame oil with salt and pepper on the side. But as a variation, i love making my own cho ganjang sauce (sour soy sauce).
4. RICE
- not pictured but I almost never have a meal without rice, it’s a given 🤪
