💄Lip Liner: Amber-ish
Lip liners can be tricky because you have to get them just right. I can't stand it when my lip pencil drags, bleeds, or feels really dry on my lips. Here's what I look for any time I swatch a new liner.
💙Color
First and foremost, wow. This is not a color I had in my collection before. This coral is so RICH but great for a natural makeup look. ❤️
💚Application
This lip liner went on really smoothly. No dragging whatsoever and it applied in a really clean, pigmented line. I used it as a liner but you could definitely use it all over the lip.
💛Lipstick Pairing
I paired the liner with the Classic Lipstick "Beau," but it's also the same color as the liquid lipstick in this set. The lipstick did not bleed at all and it made a really chic look.
🧡Staying Power
I need my lip liner to last, and this one does! A few days after I filmed the video, I wore it for a day irl and it stayed beautifully even while eating.
💜Packaging
This lip pencil is a twist up so it stays nice and creamy. Plus no need for a pencil sharpener. That's a win-win for me. 🎁

Very smooth formula and love the color impact of this liner, but it's not my favorite in my collection. It doesn't last as long as I would like.
🌼KVD Beauty Everlasting Lip Liner
Love my girl, Kat. So this product is advertised as "extreme long wear" and they aren't lying. The one downside is the packaging -- my pencil stopped being able to retract too soon for the price.
💄Lip Gloss Sequins💋
When I opened this Dose of Colors set, this sparkly gloss was the first thing to catch my eye! It's fun and bold for summer but I also can't wait to wear this during the holidays -- it has that really fun, glitzy Christmas/New Years' Eve vibe. ✨
Here are five factors I look at in a new gloss:
🔆Shine factor
This girl is GLOSSY. You definitely can get your shine on without the good factor.
⚜️Pigmentation
It goes on pretty sheer and the color is quite subtle. I like it because you can wear it by itself or apply over other products. But if you like heavily pigmented lipglosses, this one might not be for you.
💐Scent
I love the fruity scent of this lipgloss! It's called creamsicle!
💥Texture
Even though this gloss has a lot of glitter in it, it doesn't feel gritty at all. It applies really smoothly, it's not sticky, and it feels very high quality.
💗Layerability
You can definitely wear this gloss by itself or over other products. Since it's sheer and applies in thin layers, I think it wears really comfortability layered over the lipstick or even the lipliner in this set.

This is one of my favorite lipglosses! It's shiny and lovely and lasts a really long time. Not going to lie ... it's sticky though.
💙Essence Shine Shine Shine Lip Gloss
I would definitely pay more for this formula but glad I don't have to! It's shiny and smooth but not tacky at all. One of the best.
💚e.l.f. Cosmetics Lip Lacquer
The lipgloss for people who hate lipgloss. It's subtle, not overly sticky, and only $3! Could last a little longer, but what can you expect for the price? 💰
💄Liquid Matte Lipstick Zoey💋
I love that this lipstick is named after one of Nyma's dogs! Here are the criteria I used to score this liquid matte lipstick.
💙Color
In my opinion, Nyma nailed it with the color in this set. It's a true coral -- not too red, not too orange, not too purple. It's a classic, elegant shade.
💛Application
A little goes a long way, so you definitely get your money's worth! Sometimes with liquid lipsticks, I feel like I have to keep adding more product to the doe foot applicator. Not the case here -- one pump was enough!
💚Matte-ness
If you're a big fan of matte lip products, that is what you get with this liquid lipstick. It dries down very matte but doesn't crack or feel chalky.
🧡Wearability
For me, comfort is key with liquid lipsticks because sometimes they can feel too dry. This one dries down to a matte finish, but it almost felt like I didn't have anything on.
💜Staying Power
I loved this Dose of Colors lipstick so much, I didn't want to take it off! Thank goodness I didn't have to. It stayed on for hours.

This is a goodie for the price, but not very long-lasting. Also, NYX advertises it as an inclusive nude line -- and they're almost there -- but not quite.
🌷BLK/OPL Liquid Matte Lipstick
The colors are on point from this black-owned beauty line! However, these liquid lipsticks dry down really sticky and are not "transfer proof" as advertised.
🌹MAC Matte Lipstick
These lipsticks are amazing! They're the perfect level of matte and last FOREVER. Maybe a little drying, but I'll take it.
💄Classic Lipstick Beau 💋
Named after another one of Nyma's dogs! Here's what I look at when trying a new bullet lipstick.
💙Color
This lipstick has a ton of pigmentation! The color makes a statement but is not overly loud. It's classic, it's sophisticated -- it's coral that is flattering on dark skin tones.
💛Pigmentation
The shade gives me classic, orange-ish red vibes. It goes on very pigmented -- one application is enough for an opaque finish. Great for summer but also for the holidays!
This lipstick goes on so buttery smooth. Like wow. 💄
🧡Finish
You get a matte finish with this one, but without all the dryness or cracking that some matte lipsticks have. My lips felt very moisturized and it even has a subtle sheen which I liked but some people might not.
💜Staying Power
You have to be careful with red lipsticks because they can get on your teeth in a hurry. That did not happen for me in this lipstick.

🌻Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick
These lipsticks are super smooth and hydrating, but they do transfer. The shades advertised as "nude" are definitely not inclusive, and I had a hard time finding images of black models wearing the dark shades.
🌷NARS Lipstick
This one is not heavily pigmented and applies somewhat sheer. Not knockin' it -- just FYI. It feels very hydrating and wears almost more like a gloss.
🌹L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Lipcolour
The darker nudes lean too purple for me, and I don't love the smell. But this lipstick glides on smooth, has a nice shine, and lasts through meals so don't count it out.
