First of all, thank you PrismPop for choosing me as a tester for Tatcha Rice Wash Cleanser. I am so delighted.
š§“I have a combination and sensitive skin, it is acne-prone too, so I will talk how Tatcha Cleanser works on my type of skin.
PACKAGING. The cleanser comes in a very pretty tube with so minimalistic design. The tube was in the carton brown box, which has also a paper letter from the founder of the brand. So pretty. The tube has a foil safety seal on it.
SCENT. I don't find myself sensitive to fragrances in skincare. However, Tatcha cleanser had a very light like citrus scent. I don't see it as a bothering or strong one. It is a face wash, so you don't apply it for a long time on your skin.
EASE OF USE
When I first got it, I squeezed a big amount of it. However, after a few more times of use, I found that only a pea size of it is needed.
Also, it seems to me that the cleanser gel is a little grainy. I am providing a picture of it.
In the beginning of testing it out, I felt a little bit anxious that it doesn't create a lot of foam. But I learned later with each use that you need to add a little more water (like a couple drops more) to lather it up better.

And yes, it creates a very rich thick foam. I also found the scent is fading when I lathered it up.
EFFECTIVENESS
The cleanser is suitable for normal to dry skin. Although I think it will be better for combination to normal skin. I feel that it could be drying for dry types.
After wash, I felt a matte soft finish on my skin. It appears brighter and cleaner after a few times of use.
There is a rice powder in the ingredient list. I used to apply a rice flour mixed with water on my face. Actually, rice will give that matte and soft finish to your skin
There is also sodium hyaluronate, basically it is similar to hyaluronic acid which is supposed to make your skin softer and more hydrated.
āØOVERALL REVIEW
1. It is good for combination to normal skin.
2. Need only a pea size of it
3. Good for a second cleanse (might not be effective for the first step of cleansing routine). I don't wear a foundation, only sunscreen on the days when I go outside, so this cleanser was enough for me
4. It does have fragrance, which is fading after lathering it up and you will wash it off after 30 sec, so the product doesn't stay for a long time on your skin.
5. I will continue using it in my morning and evening routines.
