Hey everyone! I’ve got something super exciting today :) I luckily received the Huda Beauty Medium Nude palette, and let me tell you, this palette is so beautiful! π
THE PALETTE
π¨ This palette has a rose gold-toned vibe, with shades in both shimmer and non-shimmer (I’m a huge fan of rose gold so it was like love at first sight! π) Even for a nude themed palette, it has a nice variety of colors and seems perfect to create a natural or glam look without having to reach for any other palettes. You can find transition, highlight, and outer v shades all in this pocket-sized palette!
THE SWATCH
I swatched every color on my wrist by going from left to right beginning at the top of the palette, first with my finger (as shown on the left side of my wrist) and then with an eyeshadow brush (as shown on the right). The colors are very vibrant and saturated when applying with a finger, but needs a couple of layers to achieve the same effect with a brush. π
Although this palette is likely going to become one of my go-to’s, it is certainly not perfect.
The smell lowkey smells like a sharpie but worse, actually a more burning-plastic smell. π¬ I had it about a foot away from me, and
I could still smell it. π If you’re sensitive to strong smells, I’d say keep that in mind!
THE LOOK
I was feeling a little dramatic today, so I created a glam-ish look!
- I put the transition shade in my crease and a little above it to make my eyes seem a bit deeper set and larger.
- I placed the eyelid shade over most of my eyelid, and placed the outer v in well… the outer v haha.
- I then finished off with a clean eyebrow and eyeliner with some dramatic lashes.
THE FINAL VERDICT
My favorite shade is the rose gold shimmer in the middle! (I love rose gold a lot if you couldn’t tell by now haha). I love the way the light reflects off this shade, depending on the way the light hits it, you can see flecks of gold and/or coppery rose.
I hope that you liked this review! Let me know which color would be your favorite in this palette :)
