I love making my own dog treats both for budget reasons (I go through a truly ridiculous amount of treats every week), and because I get to control what goes into them!
I’ve tried a bunch of recipes and this simple tuna one has been the biggest hit, so I thought I’d share it!
Tuna Dog Treats:
- 2 cans of tuna (packed in water)
- 4 to 6 eggs
- 1 cup of flour (ish)
bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes, and voila! This recipe makes enough to fill the baking mold twice, so you get about 1000 treats for less than $5. They’re medium value for my dogs, and great for agility because they show up well against the turf. I’ve also tried chicken, chicken liver, and salmon but tuna has been Charlie and Sprout’s favorite so far.
If you have any other good recipes, please send them my way! It’s a constant struggle to find treats that Sprout loves so I’m always looking for new recipes
