For women’s month I’m excited to share one of my favorite women owned and women designed fashion labels spell and the gypsy collective. Spell is a designer line with fun flirty Bohemian patterns that range from exercise clothes to intimate wear to Dresses to Robes, vintage t-shirts and accessories. I love this brand because the clothing is relaxing and focuses on patterns in nature that include flowers and seashells. I also love this brand because it is owned by two Australian sisters from Melbourne, Australia. The sisters Elizabeth a bag and Isabel Pennefather cofounded their fashion line over a decade ago in when Byron Bay was a sleepy beachside community of hippies and nomads. The sisters influence the fashion world with their commitment to sustainability and love for Bohemian style. Their clothing is dreamy and feminine and thoughtfully detailed. The sisters work very hard and all the prints are hand-drawn and worked on for weeks and months until they are perfect. The sisters also create their own fabrics over the years to become more sustainable. I’m going to show you three of my favorite outfits that I have from Spell.
This first outfit is a workout outfit called the wild thing pattern. This outfit includes a 7/8 legging as well as a ruched crop top sports bra. I love the mustard and tan color and I love the detail in the bottom of the pants. Leopard is a lot of fun and this outfit is easy to wear. I feel like a jungle goddess whenever I wear this workout outfit.
The Lala linen shift dress is one of my favorites for the summer. It has striking cut out lace detail stunning embroidery and an elastic arm cuff which makes the sleeves easier to wear. The seashell embroidery provides a feminine feel and the detachable belts helps make a waist and give the dress some shape.
Finally I love the knit midi dress when it is a bit little bit of chill in the air. This dress has intricate cut outs and detail on the cuff and sleeve him which makes it very stylish. This dress has a bit of 70s glamour and feel and is crafted in a luxurious blend of mohair wool and nylons. I feel very chic cozy and comfortable in this dress and love how it’s a one piece that I can easily pop on at any time.
