Along with personal and career goals, I also have three beauty related New Year’s resolutions that will help me be happier and healthier. These will help me take care of my skin which will help it health-wise and also improve my complexion. 😊
🤍 WEAR SUNSCREEN DAILY
I don’t get sunburned easily, so I usually do not wear sunscreen. However, sun exposure can cause skin cancer, sunspots, and wrinkles. 😣 Wearing sunscreen protects skin from harmful UV rays and should be worn every day you go outside, even on cloudy days. I will be more diligent in 2021 about applying sunscreen daily. The two that I use right now are the Olay 7 in 1 moisturizer with SPF 15 for my face and the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch - SPF 30 for my body. The Olay one is a little greasy for my oily skin so I would love to find a new one that is better suited for my skin type!
🤍 USE REUSABLE MAKEUP REMOVERS
Not taking off makeup can cause acne and congested skin. I have been loving the elf cleansing cloud to remove my makeup. It is only $4 and much cheaper than the original Face Halo. It can be used with regular water or a makeup remover of your choice! To use this, first wet the cleansing cloud and then use it as you would with a makeup wipe. To wash, you can hand wash them or put them in the washer with your laundry! Mine is a little stained, which shows how much I use it! 😅 This is much more eco friendly than disposable cotton rounds and also saves money in the long run, as you will not have to buy more cotton rounds or makeup wipes. ☺️ I currently only have one but have already ordered another.
🤍 DO FACE MASKS TWICE A WEEK
I love doing face masks because it gives my skin a little extra care. 💕 Depending on how my skin is that week, I can use a moisturizing face mask to hydrate it or a clay mask to detoxify. Some of my favorite masks are the Veridique Rose Berry Yogurt mask for hydration and general brightening or the Bath and Body Works Rose Sheet Mask for calming redness. I do not do face masks as often as I’d like because I can forget to take care of my skin. However, I’d love to do them two times a week in 2021! Face masks are such a great way to relax and do self-care as well as provide benefits for the skin. 😊
Let me know what your New Year’s Resolutions are, both personal and beauty related! ☺️
