I know a lot of us are limited to at-home only workouts these days, so I hope you enjoy this bands-only upper body workout! I am showing 2 different bands of 2 different resistance levels - I’m using a medium resistance band and a heavy resistance band for reference! These can be found many places, but the particular bands I’m using are by Uppper Gear!
Bicep Curls: Make sure to squeeze at the top of each rep! Be sure to not just go through the motions but actively engage and squeeze every time.
Banded Back Rows: Grab the band at a place that isn’t too heavy to do the full range of motion, but also still challenges you so you feel the burn. Make sure to keep your head in line with your spine (don’t keep your head upright - good form is key for not hurting yourself). Again, make sure to squeeze between your shoulder blades on every rep!
Single Arm Shoulder Press: Start with your arm at a 90 degree angle and press it upwards, squeezing at the top. You don’t want any muscle imbalances, so make sure you do the same amount of reps for both arms!
Lat Pulldowns: Really think about actively pulling outwards every time you pull downwards, and activate and squeeze those back muscles every time was well. Don’t move too quickly on this exercise - slow and controlled is the key!
