What I look for in BB creams…
I’ve been on the search for the perfect foundation but lately I’ve been turning to BB creams instead! This is what I look for in this makeup products:
•Ingredients- I want what I put on my skin to be what is best for my skin. So I want the ingredients in my makeup to be good for my skin, which means both bad ingredients are left out and that these products contain great, healthy ingredients!
•Skin concerns addressed- I always check to see what skin issues my products help with! I want my products to help with the issues I am dealing with!
•Additional benefits- I love a good product that can address extra concerns and boost my skin health in addition to doing it’s main job!
•Skin match- this obviously is super important! I really hate when my makeup products are not a good match to my skin tone.
•Price- I want my products to be worth the money I spend on them! They don’t have to be super cheap, but I want the value to match the price!

Question: What is BB cream?
Answer: The BB stands for beauty balm (also can be blemish balm or base). It commonly combines foundation, moisturizer, and sunscreen into one amazing product.
Question: What is the difference between BB Cream, CC Cream, and foundation?
Answer: These can all be used as foundation but here are the most obvious differences. BB cream provides light coverage and skincare benefits (like sun protection and moisturizer). CC cream generally provides more coverage than BB cream and addresses redness issues. It can also be layered with foundation for more coverage. Foundation comes in various coverages and finishes but it provides the heaviest coverage out of the three.
Question: How do you match makeup products to your skin tone?
Answer: Once you figure out your base it’s pretty easy! I used a piece of white paper, comparing whether my skin looked more yellow, more pink, or more peachy than the paper. This will help you determine if you have yellow, pink, or neutral undertones. Then head to the store and hold the product up to your wrist or jaw (bring a small mirror). If you aren’t confident in your own ability to match, use a good, naturally lit picture and try out some matches on the Ulta or Sephora apps!

I’ve been using this product for several months now! I’ve used it regularly during that time, wearing it with different makeup products (like blush, concealer, etc.), and during different types of weather (like humidity, bright sunny days, and super windy weather).

Are you a fan of “no makeup” makeup? I am and this cream is amazing for creating a natural look! It does not dry out my skin but it goes on smoothly, I only need a little bit, and it lasts all day. I know that my skin is protected while wearing this and that it will look fabulous. This is definitely the BB cream I have been looking for! 💖
