✨You’ve probably heard of the luxury skin care brand La Mer. Celebrities and celebrity makeup artists have raved about it for years. They are known for their ultra rich creams that provide deep hydration and a glow like no other. But did you know they make makeup as well?
💰Would you ever in your wildest dreams pay $100 for a powder compact? I never thought I would but after hearing some of my favorite makeup artists rave about this powder I was intrigued. I wound up purchasing this during Sephora’s semi annual sale so at least I was able to get some money off. But is it worth the hype? Or better yet, worth the money?!
Besties, I hate to break it to you. But the La Mer Sheer Pressed Powder retailing at $100 is in fact one of the best powders I’ve ever tried. I didn’t want it to be true but it is indeed phenomenal. 🏽
🤌🏽How to Apply It
The thing here is that there is a very specific use for this product. I would not use this all over my face to set my makeup. In fact, I like to complete my makeup, set it with my usual powders and only use this powder as a touch up powder for when the natural oils of my skin start to peak through my skin. As you can see my palette is pretty banged up since I always keep it in my purse for touch ups! Listen if I paid $100 for a powder you bet I’m gonna get my use out of it.
When I apply this as a touch up powder, it creates the most beautiful, blurring effect on my face that totally refreshes my makeup. The powder is very finely milled and doesn’t look cakey on the skin. It creates a stunning, velvet finish that will have you looking as expensive as the powder itself!
💰Costs Breakdown of Price Versus Quantity
The cost is $100 for 8 grams. Don’t get me wrong, this is a ton of money for a powder. But since I mainly use it as a touch up powder I think it will last me a long time.
Would you try this magical powder? Let me know in the comments! 💖
