With pets there’s many dos and don’ts this is a guide on a few of them to help you out at home!
1. Don’t let them jump. I am working on this we simply put our knees up and reward her with treats when she doesn’t jump and she remains seated.
2. Don’t let your pets play on the bed usually with claws they have a tendency to tear through duvets and get your comforter dirty.
3. Don’t let them bring their bonies and treats in the bed or else you’ll be washing your bed sheets and comforter more than you’d prefer.
4. Do-Let them play in the backyard, out in the yard or the dog park. Reinforcing that’s their place to play, they are least likely to ruin or chew on anything inside the home.
5. Do-reward them with their favorite treats when they listen to your command or stay in their bed.
6. Make sure they are calm when you have a guest over it shows dominance and that you are in charge and it’s also respectful to your guest.
7. Do-Teach them to be comfortable with you bathing and washing them. You can do this by making it a fun experience for them we give our dog a treat when she jumps in the tub before we turn on the water and wash her.
8. Do- Make sure to buckle your fur baby in when riding in the car with you they have seat belt vest for this and it keeps them safe.
